STAY AWAY from this florist, especially if Ron DiMaggio from Par Troy Funeral Home sent you! The owner Marc is a complete LIAR and con artist. I have never dealt with such a two-faced person lacking all compassion.

On the recommendation of Ron, I used East Hanover Floral for my father’s funeral. We agreed on an arrangement, the highlight being orchids at our request. Marc seemed pleasant and talked up how beautiful it would look with orchids hanging down the casket. On the day of the funeral, the first thing my mom notices is that there are no orchids! You would think that Marc not holding up his end of a business agreement would be the bad part, but it’s not. Ron calls Marc and he requests specifically to speak with me. First, he never apologizes. Worse, he goes straight into trying to turn it against my innocent mother. He completely MAKES UP OUT OF THIN AIR that when my mother returned to pay the bill the next day (side note, our HUGE MISTAKE – prepaying everything in cash!) he told my mom that he would not be able to get orchids but that he would add in other flowers. This was completely made up. If he had truly done that, it would have been an issue and my mom would have found an alternative florist. He had the nerve on the day of my father’s funeral to get into an argument with me, starting my father’s funeral on an angry and negative note, never apologizing for his mistake, and insinuating that he was holding his tongue and could say some very nasty things to me. It is ludicrous. I am a 38 year old woman who just lost her 66 year old father to an aggressive cancer and watched him slowly suffer and pass away. On the day of his funeral before the ceremony the florist does not give us the arrangement we ordered for him, is yelling at me, lying, blaming my innocent mother for no reason, not owing up to or apologizing for his mistake, and not even attempting to make up for it.

My husband later reached out to him because I was so upset and they agreed that Marc could make it up to us by giving a partial refund. Marc acts like he will do it and never delivers. We gave him a chance but after multiple emails it is clear that this con artist will once again not hold his end of a deal.

TL;DR - Marc is all show and talk on the outside, but does not walk the walk. He’s the kind of guy that looks you in the eyes and smiles while secretly twisting the knife in your back. He has shown his true colors to me. Trust me, this is not someone you want to do business with! I guarantee that he is ripping you off on your arrangement or lying to you in some way. If for some reason you do not take my sound advice, the one thing I will recommend is only pay AFTER he does his job so that he cannot scam you. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. LIAR and terrible service. It’s V day and I want to buy some nice Rose. They showed me some roses from storage first which looks sitting many days with all dark spots and falling apart. I asked them if they can get me some fresh ones. They said yes and ask I paid over $100 and pickup later of the day when it’s ready. I picked up several hours later of the day thought they build a new one for me. When I got home, I noticed they did NOTHING. They gave me same set I rejected which looking in terrible condition. Marc’s work is absolutely beautiful! He has done a few different parties for me and always takes the time to listen to the details so that his arrangements fit perfectly with my themes. The centerpieces pictured are from my husband’s 50th birthday party which we had in the wine cellar at the Highlawn Pavillion. He suggested to do something more rustic with deep darker colors. I let him be as creative as he wanted since I trust his work so much. I was completely blown away with how they turned out! And so were my guests.
