Swagath Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in East Lansing

The Indian food tastes alright but not authentic indian pure Indian food. This food doesn't taste as good, you can get them anywhere: the indo-Chinese, chicken 65, or the rice pudding ...I've been to many Indian restaurants around USA include Denver, Seattle, Chicago, Houston, and Oklahoma City and all of them are way better then this place. My friends who I grew up with were Indian and I ate at thier house all the time and that was pure Indian food. This doesn't taste much like the restuants I've been to even though the menus are fairly the same This place has very bad customer service. I called ahead if time and due to lack of being able to understand or speak English they mixed up my order, I checked it before leaving to make sure it was what I ordered, and it wasn't n they didn't even say sorry. They said it'll take 15 minutes to make the right good I ordered in the first place and it took them 45 minutes, they kept telling me to sit down instead of standing at the counter so it wouldn't 'look' bad on them, the lady tried to push me to a chair it didnt work so the male employee brought the chair to me and tried forcing me to sit on it, seriously I didnt want to sit on it as the place wasnt clean, or hospitable, it was very cold and I didn'tknow the conditionof the chair and of it would break if I sat on it. Dude when buffing up your chest and using forceful words doesn't work, to try and forcing someone to sit down on a chair isn't a method to use on customers, that's how you loos customers. they had less then 5 customers there it shouldn't have taken 45 minutes, I brought the food home for my family and one item was burnt and the was the bottom scraping of a pan. No sorry. No care about looseing customers, many friends told me the Male employees try intimidating you, amd I didn't really believe it. I ate there a few times before this incident trying different dishes but over all its bad, and I've not had any good experience trying to order over the phone, the first time I didn't know their hours and called at 4:50 and they were quite rude over the phone and in the end said they open at 5pm and hung up on me....im never coming here again! I remember I was happy before 4 years when they have excellent management, now with the new management, I found them not good at all, they have very bad customer service, I was surprised from charging my children even they did not eat, when I told them why and I complaint, they dealt with me in very bad way, either their manager threatened me in very bad way and wave his finger in aggressive way in front of my face, and I called the police and the police came and after that I left this restaurant... I do not recommend anyone to go there, dealing with costumers is very important and those guys do not listen to our comments and they deal in very aggressive way. Go and charge my children if they eat, but they did not eat and charge them ... I will tell all my friends about what happened with me. I am sorry that we are in this great country and we have people who discriminated others regarding their nationalities ( they know that I am an international Arabic student). Went with 2 kids and my husband for July 4 buffet. One kid is 18 months and one is 5 1/2. The owner is coming in between buffet and checking if the kids are eating too much food or not. And he got convinced that both the kids ate too much of his awesome food. Finally the bill is $39 and few cents for 4 of us. When asked per buffet is 12.75. Amazing thing is the owner was so kind to charge (kids buffet) for the 18 month old kid too. When asked he told he saw the kids eating like anything. So we asked him to charge full buffet for everyone. He said their policy won't allow that. But still we felt he is so much in need of money. So left him extra $20 bill on his desk. So total $59 and few cents. What an amazing way to celebrate July 4. One thing next time don't take your kids here especially if they eat too much.
