We were so excited to try Chef Rays Diamond Bar and Grill. I ordered the Potter burger and my husband the fish dinner. The burger was very good maybe a tad too much BBQ sauce but otherwise very tasty. The fish was HUGE and my husband enjoyed it. One of my pet peeves with any restaurant is when the salad comes right out of the refrigerator. It was too cold for my liking, hurts my teeth. Even though we enjoyed our meal I had to take a star away because when the check came, all the prices of the items were different than what is stated on the menu. Turns out they automatically add 3% to the bill without making that clear anywhere. I completely understand a different price for cash or credit but we always pay with cash, if we didn’t say anything we would have been overcharged. They need to make this charge transparent to their customers. Like many other restaurants these days, the bill shows two payments. Chef Rays just adds the 3% without...
Read moreMy wife and I are from Pennsylvania and was in the area and was looking for a place to eat dinner! A friend who owns a business on the opposite corner (Our Vintage Memories Antique Store) that we were visiting, recommended this place to eat! A short walk down the street and we were here! Place had just opened up three days earlier and was all new and fresh. Place has the look on the outside of a fire station and the inside was spacious and airy! They have a lot to choose from and some unusual items on the menu that one does not see everyday! I got the jumbo wings and my wife got the stuffed banana peppers which were both great by the way! Prices are reasonable and serving sizes are large with great service by the staff! If you are in the area try this new place for sure! It is worth the drive for me from Pa. for a new dining experience and food selection! KUDOS TO ALL HERE! Will be back in the future! --LARS COX FROM...
Read moreI’ve been looking forward to trying this place out since I live out of town now. Finally got the chance today… big disappointment. I was back and forth on what to get and the waitress told me about the spicy chicken pasta… when I looked at the menu, it said grilled chicken… it def tasted more boiled and looking at mine vs my dads grilled chicken, it was def not grilled. The “spicy peppers” were just banana peppers. Just disappointed. The serving size was a lot… I gotta give em that. My mom ordered fish and baked potato… her baked potato was brown, cruddy, and old. When she asked for a fresh one, the server said “this will look a lot better. Just out of the oven”… it was just as brown and gross. My side salad was partially brown lettuce. The sprite in my drink was flat. Overall, just a more disappointment. I’d say the price was good for the serving size, but I still left hungry since I just paid to throw my entire...
