Los Petates — Restaurant in East Los Angeles

I really wanted this place to be great, as I read reviews before coming here. Started out bad with an old, outdated interior and the front door open with flies buzzing around my table. The food was very mediocre and somewhat flavorless. The people who work there are very nice people, but they seem like they are from the '60's!!! After they serve you they never check on you to see if you need anything, in fact after we were served our food we had to go back to the kitchen to get their attention so we could pay. It's cash only, No cards accepted, and there are No signs indicating that inside the restaurant. We asked to turn on the ceiling fans, and all the ceiling fans worked... Except the one over our table!! All I can say about this place is the people are very nice, but stuck in a time warp. Also there are No prices on the menu... Two simple plates were...
