Came in with my son and I wanted to take one of their burger sandwiches and turn in into a wrap, she said she would have to ask. Came back no problem took off couple of things because of allergies and my son ordered a turkey grinder. Everything was delish and it was great until I got my bill. A 10.95 dollar sadwich turned into a 16.95 just for the change into a wrap. I asked her about it when I saw all the charges. She never told me that they have a burger wrap and then she charged me for the stuff that was included on my other sandwich that I wanted. If they had a hamburger wrap why did she have to go ask permission to do it? My bill for two people came to 45 including tip for lunch for a wrap and a grinder and soda. This is not even including fries or anything. I will never ask for any changes here again. I honestly couldnt believe it because I have eaten here numerous times and nothing like this has never happened. Beware! I even looked up a handburger wrap and its the same price as the sandwich I wanted 10.95. Felt like...
Read moreSmall typical Greek style take out food. Thick greasy pizza, lettuce packed grinders, and all the fried appetizers you'd expect from this style restaurant. I've only been here a few times and my first experience was ok, not great but not bad either. Second visit same thing, but the 3rd time I ordered a chicken parmesan grinder and a side of curly fries and it was very disappointing. The grinder was ok but the fries were terrible! Small, hard, tiny pieces like I got the bottom of the bag and then they overcooked them by 4 or 5 minutes making them almost inedible. Plus they were the blandest curly fries I've ever had. I'm usually not one to complain and am not too picky but this was beyond even my loose standards. Maybe this was a one off experience and I just happened to get the scraps of fries but it left me feeling like I got ripped off cause it wasn't cheep and I threw away the vast majority of my fries afraid I might chip a tooth! Lol So overall it's not a bad place but check your fries...
Read moreBEST PLACE EVER! If I lived in CT, Village Pizza & Grille would definitely be my go-to pizza place. For me, it's been a regular stop on my way through CT to New York City. It definitely breaks up the long trip and it's right off the highway, which is ideal eating on the go without significantly cutting into your travel time.
In addition to the amazingly delicious pizza, they also have a bunch of homemade dishes that are TO DIE FOR! I would especially recommend the chicken egg lemon soup and the rice pudding. All the ingredients are fresh and the kitchen is super clean. (You can see into the kitchen from the dining area, so you know everything is prepared with care.) It's not your average pizza shop, and definitely has a home cooked flavor. Plus, the service is excellent!
I would recommend this place...
