Taqueria El Jarocho #1 — Restaurant in East Palo Alto

Food’s good but I’ve gotten better service from a dead rat on the side of the road.

Used to go here all the time for tacos but they constantly messed up orders and when I would go back to get it fix, they would act like it’s my fault that my food wasn’t correct. They had the nerve to look at me and tell that next time I should make sure that my order is correct, like that isn’t their job. The manager consistently kept turning me away because she said I was missing plates in my order and I needed to go retrieve them…. Yes that is why I am here, I am missing plates of food from my order, I never got those plates. Finally after about 15 minutes, I guess she had enough because she told her workers to get my plate ready.

Wouldn’t be so bad if their workers also didn’t act like doing their job was such burden on them when you come in when it’s empty.

Food used to be really good and affordable but now with raising prices, the food’s alright at best but definitely not worth the price. Would 100% rather go to RWC for better tacos and around...

I like and have eaten many burritos, tacos and super nachos. Always great food plus a drive through authentic mexican food & burrito place is rare and appreciated. Now they have bigger selection then before including their new carne asada fries that are awesome. It comes with a lot of stuff on it like their super nachos do. Was not sure I would like the carne asada fries as much as I do. Today I mixed it up and purchased the carne asada fries but with their great el pastor in pace of the normal beef and it was equally awasome. I got my room mate hook on them too. This place has the best nachos ever so delicious youd probably come back for seconds. So they have great nachos they put very good amount of beans, jalapenos,cream, avocado, and etc. Inside they also throw in fork and napkins. The chips they use for the nachos don't even get soggy so easily. So when you drive home they'll still be nice and ready to eat.
