Rented the party room for 20 people. We have been to the restaurant before, great food, nice upstairs, never rented the party room. It turned out pretty gross. Ceiling is water stained everywhere, walls were really dirty, dark and dingy feeling, table cloths were stained and gross, floors were really dirty. Food was delicious, but if we bought it individually, it would have totalled $240 give or take. There is $150 fee just for the room, plus the per plate cost which was $360(plus 20% auto gratuity for basically pizza being delivered down stairs and self service up and down to the bar). The Young woman working the bar upstairs was very nice and ended up bringing our food down when it was ready, other than her coming down three times total, there was no representative from the restaurant to greet us or direct us when we got there or ask if we needed anything or let us know when the food was coming. We had to go up to the bar for our adult beverages and back down each time. We ended up spending over $900 all in for 5 pizzas, 2 ordered of wings, salad, sodas, and several self service trips up and down to the bar. Again, food was great and if it were upstairs, it would have been so much nicer and probably cheaper. Would not recommend party room. Great place to take your family for a great meal though. Get there early also, parking is not good.
I've noticed your response to negative reviews on here. Rather than take them constructively, your refute them all regardless of their truth.i explained exactly what the prices were, including the adult beverages, you didn't have to do that again. Smoke and mirrors. The amount of food we got would have been cheaper to order separately up stairs, that's my point. I complimented your food and how nice the upstairs of your restaurant is, but everyone was disappointed with the lack of quality for the room. Not worth the money spent at all. Okay, you had a call off. We were at the bar several times and one woman was standing at the end of the bar most of the time doing what appeared to be nothing while the young lady ran everything. And the place was not busy at all upstairs, actually surprisingly empty. Yes, I stated we loved all the food. Yes I stated the young lady that ran the bar and served us was very nice, she did a good job. Yes everyone in the party thanked you and complimented the food because it was good and we are not a group that gets rude and nasty like some may have. No one in our group is a complainer and what was I to do? Walk out with 20 people because your basement party room was gross? . What have you to say about the less than pleasant room conditions? You didn't address those truths in your response....either way, lesson learned. Do not rent the party room, or go look at it first. Ide recommend sitting in smaller groups upstairs. It will be nicer, cheaper, and more convenient. You also never offered the idea that we could eat upstairs until this review. Good for people to know if they search these reviews prior to dining at your place. 5 pizzas, two bolis, wings, and antipasta, in hindsight was not worth 18.99 each($380) plus $150 for the dingy room that evidently I didn't have to have. The food could have been purchased separately much cheaper. Approximately $240 for the same meal. The 20% gratuity I understand if you have a server as well. Maddie brought the food down, she checked on our sodas, and then brought boxes down. 3 trips. While I'm not upset all that she was paid $130 gratuity, I think the party room should have a dedicated server to also bring drinks down if your charging 150 for the basement and 20% gratuity. Either way, I hope someone finds this helpful. Take your time and read the responses to the negative reviews,they...
Read moreFirst thing, they were out of dough. So no pizza, stromboli, flatbreads… Whatever, ok we could order other stuff. There were a couple tables full, most already had their food. It was later in the evening. We ordered two meatball subs, fries, chicken cheesesteak, buffalo chicken sub, and two orders of wings. Food came at all different times. My sons wings never made it. They kept saying my kids wings would be out soon but it was about 30 minutes after the 1st order of wings came out (which also came about 30 minutes after ordering) so we are at about an hour now. We were all done eating and I went up to tell them to ring us out and cancel the wings. We had been there over an hour and it was almost 9pm at this point. She said they were coming up now. Well, I’m not going to sit and wait for them to cool down and then wait for him to eat them. So many excuses about fryer space and an off night with the dough. It wasn’t even busy. You’d think they’d at least offer to wrap up the wings (if they were actually done) at no charge.
To top it off, the chicken cheesesteak was so dry and tough. Couldn’t eat it. Asked for some sauce thinking that’d help but the chicken was so over cooked. Wings were ok. Definitely not the 2023 best wings of the year like the...
Read moreI really enjoy visiting Jigsy's. Danielle was our server last week. She was kind, helpful and from what i observed, hard working. She answered all my questions and was patient when I placed my order. (I'm that customer who needs to ask for food and drink changes) She was great! The bar area is cozy. The restaurant is always clean and tidy. Also, they now have TVs at the bar and a few in the dining area. I personally am not a fan of TVs being on while eating with others but, I understand a lot of people like it. However, the sound of the TVs aren't obnoxious. This is a family owned business and the owners are often working. I love the food. I like that they don't serve the everyday round pizza! They are known for the old forge style pizza. They did add a "Flatbread" style recently. This dough is also made from scratch and is much thinner than the old forge pizza. We ordered the flatbread and it was delicious. The menu isn't large and that's ok. I like their brews and looking forward to them adding a few new ones. I'm glad they made it through the pandemic...
