I previously wrote a very positive review for this business dureing my first experience here. But unfortunately after my second visit I find it nessacary to amend that review:
There were a couple of things that happened today that added up to really ruin my experience. Before I get to that I want to note that we came to this restaurant Sunday late-morning which is a very busy time and therefore seating options were quite limited. On a related note the first problem I had is that they seated us literally right next to the door of the bathrooms. While I was very happy to get a table at all unfortunately I do have a strong nose and due to the high bathroom traffic I could actually smell the bathroom stink intermittently from where I was sitting which made it very hard to eat. The second problem I had for today was that in the middle of our meal a waitstaff member came and took the hotsauce off our table to give to one of their tables and I was using it at the time. Both of these factors really ruined the experience for me today. I feel like as a customer I was not respected at all today. I ended up takeing my food to go and eating at home because the experience in the restaurant was just so unpleasant. I know the rhody hen is a very busy kind of place particularly on Sunday and the staff does deserve recognition for the hard work they do. With that said, as a customer, if I am paying for a meal I do still expect better then the short end of the stick. I did bring all of this up with my specific waiter who was NOT responsible for any of this and I did get an apology which of course I do appreciate.

Read moreI went there with my family on Mother’s Day & Absolutely hands-down, the Best breakfast we’ve eaten in a long time. We got chocolate chip pancakes for the kids, and I got huevos rancheros And my husband got a traditional American Breakfast with eggs, bacon, toast, and a side of French toast. It TO DIE FOR!!!!! Would’ve eaten the entire plate if I wasn’t so full! My husband took care of the left overs for me😂
One of the greatest parts of the experience was being removed from the waitlist on accident ( tech issue) and waiting over an hour while watching people who arrived after us get seated, I knew that they were busy so I was just going to take my family to a different place and the hostess almost fainted from embarrassment when I told her and she found out we were removed from the waitlist, was basically begging me to allow her to make it right and told me that we would be seated immediately next. And As soon as one table got up, we were immediately sat and she must’ve apologized 36,000 times throughout the 8 mins lol. She was adamant on making things right for our experience there and I’m so glad we ended up waiting and eating there because the food was Spectacular!!!!!! Service was even more amazing, so many friendly faces and very, very very fast service for the amount of customers that they had . Our waiter was amazing, the atmosphere was light and relaxing even with a restaurant FULLLLLL of people. I’ll be going back for their MUFFINS alone!! Everything was amazing. FOOD IS GOOD MY FIRST BAD EXPERIENCE WAS WHEN I ASKED FOR A CORN MUFFIN (THEY PUT ME ON HOLD TO CHECK FOR IT WHEN SHE RETURNED AND TOLD ME I GOT THE LAST ONE WE BOTH LAUGHED) WHEN I CAME TO PICK UP OUR ORDER THEY TOLD ME THEY WAS OUT OF CORN MUFFINS AND I ASKED "HOW?IF WE LAUGHED ABOUT IT BEING THE LAST ONE AND YOU GRABBED IT" NO RESPONSE WAS GIVEN YET THE LADY WHO HAPPENED TO PICK UP AFTER ME HAPPEN TO GET THE LAST CORN MUFFIN SINCE I OVERHEARD THE OTHER CUSTOMER STATE "THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME THE LAST CORN MUFFIN" ITS THE PRINCIPAL THAT BOTHERED ME.... ALSO A BIG RED FLAG LIKE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE STATED THEY AUTOMATICALLY CHARGE 15% GRATUITY ON TAKE OUT (WHICH WE DIDN'T NOTICE) SINCE WHEN THEY HAND OUT THE SLIP IT IS BLANK ON THE "TIP" TO GET A TIP ON TOP OF A TIP....
