Zoe's Pizza & Seafood — Restaurant in East Providence

I guess I had to pick at least 1 start to leave a review here. I would have preferred not to give Zoes pizza any stars. I tried zoes for the first time last month. I purchased two larhe pizzas and paid for one topping on each. The pizza tasted ok but was extremely dry so, I drove over and asked for some pizza sauce. They seemed upset that I felt the pizza was dry but did give the pizza sauce at no additional cost. With the sauce added, the pizza was actually pretty good. This evening I ordered the same thing for my family, spending $30 at zoes. Guesd what? Same result dry pizza! I called and pleasantly asked if their driver could drop off sauce if in my neighborhood (which is 2 streets away). The person on the phone began to yell and tell me that I complained last time and if I wanted "extra sauce" I will have to pay for it. My response was, I don't want "extra sauce, just what normally comes on a pizza" he then advised me that he has been in the pizza making business for 14 years. Maybe he'll learn to.make pizza when he's 20 or 30 years in? Maybe in a few more years his business methods may change? Hopefully this person will learn to listen to the concerns of his customers and make improvements in order to maintain returning customers who may refer him to others. Anyway, this is my first time leaving a review for any place. I just feel so robbed of my $30 for pizza to dry to eat and also, disgusted that the response to my simple request for pizza sauce on a pizza, was responded to by how many years he's been in business. I do not recommend this restaurant nor will I order...

on 12/20, I ordered some "clams" and a gyro. The gyro was not supposed to have onions, it did. The clams made no mention of being fried. Literally just said "whole clams". my partner called and asked and again, just said "whole clams". nothing about them being fried just that there was a half pound. and for 20 bucks, that makes sense.

They came and they were fried. I made the order on the description of them not being fried. Especially weird when the menu section was "fresh". In my time in a kitchen, we never referred to fried fish as fresh.

Called up to see what happened and my fiancée was hung up on. Very rude from the chef. having worked in restaurants, I'd be ashamed of that chef, if I were the owner.

i've gone to Zoe's a few times and been perfectly fine. I've gotten chicken parm and normal pasta a handful of times. Went today and got Spaghetti and Meatballs, meatballs tasted a bit weird to me but I thought they just used weird ground beef or something? Idk, I don't cook. But it was definitely off. 30 Minutes after I eat, worst food poisoning of my life. crying on the floor of my bathroom and fighting the urge to vomit. zoe's makes great food but never order their meatballs or at least, staff please reflect on how well you cook your meatballs because i never want anyone to experience what i went through today....
