Happy Wok — Restaurant in East St. Louis

2 years ago I ordered from here and gave it 4 stars. Since then I'm guessing they've gotta a new cook or new owner. Nothing was good this time. I ordered 2 egg rolls ( regular and shrimp) and it tasted just like garlic. I love garlic but not like that. I also ordered crab rangoon, beef and broccoli, house fried rice and fried chicken wings. The crab rangoon had no crab, so it should have been named cream cheese wontons. The one I ate was tasteless, I didn't eat the rest. I very rarely eat dark fried rice as it's always tasteless, this fried rice is no different. I read my last review and seeing as I made no mention of dark fried rice, they must of had a recipe change. The fried chicken tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp, I ate those as they were at least tolerable. And lastly was the beef and broccoli, the beef had no flavor very little sauce, however the broccoli was crunchy, still didn't eat it as this meal was just disappointing. A waste of money...

Can't even get an order right. I get my food but not my drink or my utensils. I expect to get what ALL of what I pay for. How am I supposed to eat lo mein without utensils when I'm at work? I call back and tell them and the lady on the phone wants to act like she doesn't wanna tell the driver they forgot my chopsticks and soda. But never again will I give this place my business unless I'm starving...

I recommend anything on the menu but if you want great service don’t order food too close to closing time.!!! you might not like it and do understand that everyone wants to eat here. so if your delivery is a hr wait it is because your not the only one getting fresh Chinese food that’s too hot to eat right away.
