Bovino's Pizzeria & Brewery — Restaurant in East Stroudsburg

We had bovinos cater our dinner food for our wedding. Let’s just say our experience was horrible. Owner Karyn Malsch and her daughter that works there as well, Brea, were very unprofessional. They know my mother in law from her place of work and took it upon themselves to contact her instead of me, the bride, about delivery to venue. Brea, the owners daughter that we were dealing with for our whole catering order, agreed to delivery to Scranton on our wedding day. After that I got a text from Brea asking who will be picking up our food— although she already stated and confirmed she would deliver when we had our first and only meeting. Once I texted back reminding Brea during our meeting that she said yes to delivering to Scranton. Once I sent that text the owner, Karyn, took it upon herself to text my husbands mother (again someone she knows from my MIL place of work) to ask to make arrangements for someone to pick up our catering order despite the fact the agreed to delivery already. Unfortunately we did not have this agreement in writing, my fault not asking for a contract. While I already responded to the owners daughter, the owner decided to not text me(even though she has my number) and bombard my MIL while ignoring my texts. Speaking with my mother in law I understood the owner of bovinos was trying to get an answer on pick up for catering order from her instead of sticking with our agreement her daughter already made with me— the agreement she made without discussing it with the owner. Everything was VERY unprofessional. I asked for an invoice for the total payment and it was not given to me until a DAY before we had the full payment due. To sum up this whole issue, the owners of bovinos are quite unprofessional. Not to mention, Karyn the owner stated on the phone a few days before our wedding day, day of delivery, that the food would be warm and in hot boxes upon arrival. Now bovinos brewery to Scranton is an hour away, although Karyn stated the food would be warm. My mother, who oversaw the whole delivery day of while I was busy taking bride groom portraits, said that ALL the sauces and pastas were ice cold. SO cold that my mother and mother in law (the one that was contacted while I was ignored) tried to heat up the food in a MICROWAVE because that was fastest, closest and easiest because they were not good business owners that did not make sure their catering order was the least bit warm. Bovino's Pizzeria & Brewery is an absolute gem! The strombolis are a culinary masterpiece, packed with a delightful mix of mushrooms, onions, green peppers, sausage, pepperoni, and gooey mozzarella cheese. The pizzas are equally impressive. The crust is perfectly crisp on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. Whether you go for a classic cheese pizza or one of their specialty options like the Meat Lovers or Margherita, you won't be disappointed.

Even though the printer broke and we had to wait a bit longer, it was no biggie because they generously gave us 2 free slices of pizza. The server was amazing, attentive, and friendly, definitely deserving of a raise. This place...

(Same review posted on Yelp) Me and some girlfriends were in East Stroudsburg for a morning of snow tubing. We rented an AirBnb for a Saturday overnight stay.

After tubing we checked in to our accommodations to relax, play adult games, and rest before driving back to the Philly area.

I came to my trusted Yelp app to located some options for dinner and saw Bovino’s had great reviews and located 1 minute by car down the street from our location.

We ordered a large extra cheese pizza, a medium Veggie pizza, and 20 buffalo wings. The food was ready in about half an hour so after a short wait when we arrived while the two people in front of us were served, our food was ready to be packed up when I reached the counter.

The pizza and wings were delicious. I have had pizza that lacked flavor but Bovino’s was good, especially the wings. I requested Ranch and Blue Cheese dressing.
