China Star Chen — Restaurant in East Stroudsburg

URGENT PLEASE READ I am currently in the ER with my son. We have a annual Christmas day tradition to have Chinese food for dinner. My son had a bad allergic reaction eating shrimp egg rolls from China Star Chen in East Stroudsburg, Pa. He is severely allergic to seafood. We have gone there for YEARS. I called them to ask them if they gave us shrimp egg rolls and they said they did. I did order shrimp combinations but they ALWAYS gave prok eggrolls with the combination plates so our guard was down and thought nothing of it. This is the kicker, when I called to ask about the eggrolls, the woman working there laughed on the phone. I asked for the owner and she chuckles that he is not here and in China. They did not say sorry, nothing. I called to let them know that we are in the ER and that if they were to change what they give for their combo plates, they should inform their patrons. They DID NOT CARE. I told them that people's lives could be at stake due to allergies like my son's and again, the woman laughed. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Again, we have gone here for years. This was the last time we can go there. Just wanted to warn others...

This place has gotten beside themselves! I've been going here for that past few months spending $70-$80 each time for myself and my children. Today I pd $17 for chicken wings,shrimp rolls,shrimp fried rice and a small fry (not a problem) but I asked them to put ketchup on the fries and hot sauce and ketchup on the chicken wings she told me $1.50 each! WHAT??? Didn't I just pay for my food I should be able to get it how I want it!!!! Then she threw packets in my bag shoved the bag through the window and walked away! So this will be the LAST TIME I spend money with them. I refuse to deal with anyone with the attitude as though they're paying for me to eat! You signed up for this NOT ME!!!! I'll drive the extra 3miles to my favorite one never going back! The prices have gotten ridiculous here anyway. Thanks for this balled up...

I have ordered here for 7 to 8 years and I am highly disappointed today. My husband ordered the same dish that I always get. When we went to pick it up they allowed people to walk towards the drive through window and skip customers that were behind us. We have our daughter in the back seat and the person who was on foot was extremely close to her window. Stranger danger! My husband ask the lady for personal space and instead of the service lady telling the lady to step back please she had this attitude face on her. Then after all that happened I noticed we didn't have the right order we went back the lady gave us an attitude saying this is what we ordered and spoke on top of us when we were being friendly to her about getting the order wrong. They just lost our business we are never coming...
