I recently had the pleasure of dining at Palumbo's Italian Pizza, and I can't help but share my extraordinary experience. If you're in search of the quintessential New York City pizza, this is as close as you're going to get. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that Palumbo's takes immense pride in their culinary craft.
Everything, including the pizza, is made fresh daily, and you can literally witness their commitment to freshness. I had the pleasure of watching them in action, especially their commendable practice of giving any leftover food to their employees at the end of the day, which speaks volumes about their values.
For my meal, I ordered a large pizza pie, and I couldn't resist a special order of their sausage roll. To say it was enormous is an understatement; this sausage roll could easily feed a small party! What truly impressed me was how perfectly the sausage, cheese, and peppers were distributed throughout every section of the roll. It's a true flavor explosion, and the combination of a crunchy, yet soft crust was simply heavenly.
The best part? The generous portions ensured that I had some left for my breakfast the next day. Yummy, indeed!
Apart from the delectable food, the staff at Palumbo's are warm, welcoming, and incredibly inviting. They make you feel like family from the moment you walk in. The restaurant itself is well-organized and impeccably maintained, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.
Palumbo's Italian Pizza has easily become my go-to pizza joint in the area. If you're a pizza lover or a fan of Italian cuisine, I highly recommend giving Palumbo's a try. You won't be disappointed, and like me, you might just find yourself coming...

Read moreWe come here at least once a week to grab a slice, some fries and to catch up. My friend also grabs pies from time to time as she lives very close. Went the other day and a guy we never saw before was working the register. Took our order and put our slices in. Normally we wait for the fries as they take longer, (which is expected) but got them almost right away. They were undercooked but edible. Waited and waited on the slices - my friend finally asked about them and the guy snapped at her and was VERY rude. Blamed it on another guy, Gave us our slices (sicillian) they were burnt on the bottom and the crust was crunchy as a cracker. Couldnt eat the corner crust, as we werent up for broken teeth. No apology, no nothing. Made us feel very uncomfortable then - he was also was rude to another woman whose order was elsewhere. We come here often as we are locals & have loved Palumbos for decades, but this guy was too much and we wont come back now. PS their pizza is good, but we wont give our money to businesses that treat their guests this way. There are too many other local...
