I I purchased some walnut bread just at were bought at another restaurant in recent package to support our sold by them one of them was steel is could be the other one was fresh went back to the store today and was given a hard time over getting our money back for the items one of the ladies Thayer pointed out that the wrapping was a different color was white instead of red which indicated it was old and when we bought tool from we were purposely handed in the old one and a new one which would stand cut to see if that one was fresh or a steel and that one appeared to be fresh but appeared to be of a different rapper but there is no way that a person should have to go in the store and be slipped all stuff and have to drive a long distance in order to return it and then be given a hard time. And no money back the breads they were reselling were from the unicorn bakery in Vernon which of course I’m sure were sold fresh by Vernon to...
Read moreLovely little polish delicatessen and grocery store. Got a Poniatowskis Rebellion and some potato pancakes for later!
2024: This place changed, and I don't think so much for the better. I appreciate the friendly service and the different variety but I miss the Polish market shopping experience because now it's limited items. There are not many items in the freezer selections. The polish sandwiches have changed, and some of the staples are gone. Took a chance and tried some barbecue and was not too impressed. The barbecue sandwiches could definitely use more barbecue sauce, and I'm not really sure how they're making the mac and cheese. This is only an opinion, and like I said, I did appreciate the friendly service. I'll go back and try something different for sure, but I do miss seeing the polish lady friends who would make excellent sandwiches with a smile and throw in that...
Read moreI went here today to redeem a $25 gift certificate for the restaurant, which the woman working refused to honor it for the frozen foods. She said it was only for their hot foods, which it didn't state anywhere on the gift certificate. I went here once before too, about a month ago, and bought some perogi and kelbasa, which I didn't find all that tasty anyway. I'm 100% Polish and have grown up eating many different Polish foods and Belvedere's didn't even come close taste or quality-wise. I would highly recommend getting your Polish foods elsewhere, as this place's service and food quality are sub-par. Apparently they are also very shady with their gift certificates and can't be trusted to honor them. I for one definitely won't be shopping or...
