Last night my mom, and friend of ours and myself were coming back from PA to go home ( Hebron ) and I suggested Easton Diner because I have gone there a few times and always had great service and the food was prettty good with alot of selections and I love having the option to have Breakfast for diner. I got 3 egg breakfast with bacon and side of scrapple and it came with homefries. Our friend got the popcorn shrimp and my mom got the senior fried flounder. Now i was tired so i may of missed something on the menu but the meal said homefries so i expected cut up potatos but got big serving of hashbrowns. No biggie, i would of just asked they have cooked them longer and browned them. so i boxed them up and took home to finish cooking myself. My moms fried flounder she enjoyed, our friend had the pop corn shrimp with fries and coleslaw. She said the shrimp were good but the coleslaw was little sour like it was going bad. She didnt worry about letting the waitress know she just didnt eat it of course, Waitress was really nice. Been in the food business so know somethings happen and if brought to the attention of the waitress she would of taken care of us. I told my friend next time to please say something, folks don't how things are going if you don't say anything. So here is why I'm really writting about the experience, we received the bill and like most places people assume and don't ask and everything was on one check. Okay no biggie this place has you go to the register and pay for your ticket so we can just ask the lady who does the checking out to ring up seperately. You would of thought I was asking her some complicated task for something. She came back and said can i just split the check 3 ways? I asked her you mean by the meal like I wanted she was like no split evenly by 3 people. I said no because mine was more expensive, instead of just ringing mine and then the others she starts adding it in her head and making it seem like spliting it by 3 wasnt going to make things off by much. Bill total was 46.68 including tax, My mom's meal was 13.77 with tax senior meal, my friends was 14.83 with tax and mine was $18.08 with tax. My mom and our friend was tired from our trip and just wanted to get home and just said don't worry about it. We each ended up paying $15.56 a person. It may not seem that big of deal to some folks but its the point that customer service failed here. Other resturants have no problem seperating tickets when the waitress puts on all one check , why was it such a problem for this lady. I most likely will not be back or recommend anyone to stop...
Read moreI'm not sure what time their kitchen closes but I'm guessing it must be 9pm. I arrived about 5 minutes before 9PM and realized it might be too late so I asked the hostess if they were still serving, she said they were and promptly seated me with a menu and took my drink order. The sweet tea was awesome. She came back a few minutes later and I ordered the parmigiana pasta combo platter which was to include 2 ravioli, 2 stuffed shells and two meatballs. Salad bar was included with the meal. With the parmigiana name on the menu I expected to see the pastas and meatballs covered in a red sauce with freshly grated parmesan cheese melted on top. When the plate arrived it was full of some tube shaped pasta, the two stuffed shells and ravioli. It was covered in the red sauce, no parmigiana in sight. After it was set before me the waitress asked if I would like some parmesan cheese, and having answered in the affirmative, she brought out the little glass shaker jar commonly found in most any decent pizza place. As I started into the pasta I found the red sauce most delicious. The stuffed shells and raviolis were excellent. And what about the meatballs? Sadly they decided to keep those to themselves. There were no meatballs hidden under that delectable sauce. I was most disappointed, hence the three star rating. They did knock 3.00 off the price of the meal for the missing meatballs. I figure it probably had something to do with the lateness of the hour but if you know your closing your kitchen in 5 minutes you should let the customer know that. I would've been fine coming back another time, a bit earlier, to enjoy the...
Read moreI havent been here in years I do remember it being better though. So the server she was a bit smart like she really did not want to wait on us or something. When we placed order we was asked if we wanted soup which made us thimk theres was no salad bar open if it automatically comes with it then we shouldnt have just been asked for soup or should have at least meantioned the salad bar. Then when the food came ou t there was no sauce for the wings then when we asked for it she said there is all kinds of sauce at the salad bar tou can go get it and When I asked for onions which i never knew they had to be cut first until she came out with them which my food was already gone when I told her I dont need them now she yells well honey I gotta wait for them to cut them ok well if she had told me that in the first place i would have said nevermind or ok but you never said that all she said was we charge for them oh and not to meantion the stale bread parts of it was hard. Then my daughter had only really ate 1 bite of her food mine was gone because my daughter had to go get her own ranch she never even told us where the salad bar was. Ill probably be back because I know some of the food is good there. I started not to leave a tip because I felt un welcome. Bad enough that the old people behind me was rude to me and it was not my fault that it took the peron to come sit us along time to even come to us to seat us If its because we was basically the only ones that had masks on idk but what I do know is covid is still here so im going to wear my mask for along time but i definitely did not feel...
