Hayashi Japanese Restaurant in Easton, MA, is a culinary gem that impresses from the moment you walk in. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a touch of traditional Japanese decor that sets the perfect mood for an authentic dining experience. The food at Hayashi is nothing short of exceptional. The menu boasts a variety of Japanese dishes, but the sushi is the standout star. Each piece is a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to quality, offering fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented sushi that rivals the best in the area. From classic rolls to inventive combinations, every bite is a delight. Service at Hayashi is attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or new to Japanese cuisine, the staff are always willing to guide you through the menu and make recommendations based on your preferences. Overall, Hayashi Japanese Restaurant is a must-visit. Its delicious food, especially the sushi, combined with excellent service and a cozy atmosphere, make it a standout choice in Easton.

This place is a hidden Gem and one worth coming to! The Service and atmosphere are very good, if the service was a little more attentive and if the music was more authentic to the Japanese style (they had Pop music playing) with all the beautiful art I would have given it 5 Stars. That being said, it's all about the excellent food for me! If you want an awesome sushi/miso soup/Pad Thai/Saki/etc... Experience, this is the place. Been here many times and have yet been disappointed with the food. I would recommend this place.

I was warned about this place from a friend of mine after I have eaten there a couple times. I was told that they’ve had multiple water leaks into their kitchen, and it has a lead to huge amounts of mold going into their walls. They refused to have the work done, and the mold is literally pouring out of their walls. Maybe they can say they have the freshest mushrooms in town, but I refuse to eat there after seeing the evidence, and hearing the stories.

ATROCIOUS. Negative stars would be my rating if I could.

My parents, fiancé and I attempted to eat here last night and it was shocking how bad the service was...

First, there is two entrances apparently and when we asked how long a wait for a table we were told “fifteen minutes.” We decided to park ourselves at the bar and order drinks. They were unable to fulfill two separate drink orders for us, a dirty martini (no olives) and espresso martini (nothing to make them.) That was minute in comparison to the rest of the night.

Twenty minutes later we still hadn’t been seated or updated about our table. We asked the bartender to find out how long of a wait as it had been almost a half hour. The bartender returned with “we don’t know how long; fifteen minutes maybe.” I would have preferred to leave but we had already waited this long.

Once we were actually seated we noticed that several GROUPS, not couples, had arrived after us but were seated first. Our waitress came by to take our order and we were famished as we had waited almost an hour for a table. My father, mother and I all ordered the Bulgoki Don while my fiancé just ordered a bunch of sushi. I asked for an “over easy” egg on top. The waitress mentioned to my mother, who is unfamiliar with ordering anything aside from California rolls, that she could have chicken in the Bulgoki Don. I mentioned that would be a different order and would be deep fried (as the menu states) yet the waitress tried to reassure us that “we can do bulgoki with chicken; whatever you want. We aim to please.” Wrong, so wrong.

My fiancé’s sushi arrived first with what we ordered as apps, so he was done eating well before our meals even arrived. The waitress brought over the food and as we had predicted, mom got a bowl of beef instead of chicken to which I asked “what happened with the chicken?” The waitress responded with “the kitchen said they only do beef.” I got scrambled eggs instead of “over easy” as I requested plus the order of Kimchi never came. We sent the bowls back to get the eggs the right way and chicken for my mom. Another twenty minutes went by and still no chicken bowl for Mom. The beef in was mushy, lacking flavor and over all presentation.

We told the waitress we don’t want the chicken bowl or the kimchi and they should be off our bill. No manager came over to rectify the situation, the customer service was appalling and the portions were small and bland for the price.

There is nothing to enjoy here. I can’t even call it a business. Don’t waste your time, money or energy. You’d be better off going to the food court for Japanese food. They can at least...

I have a mixed review here. Bottom line- I was a little underwhelmed but I’ll definitely go again. Here’s why... It’s a cute little spot, with an interesting dark vibe. Good for a date, but small dining room so you are pretty close to the next table if you’re not in a booth. Not a negative, but worth mentioning. Service was good- no complaints, but it wasn’t busy so I can’t speak to how it is with a packed DR. Now on to the food... I had Shrimp Pad Thai and it was DELICIOUS but it tasted/felt like a frozen kit heated in the microwave for 3min...didn’t have that “just tossed on a wok” texture. Seaweed salad was tasty- but again, was probably stored frozen so it still had some icy-cold spots. Their best is probably the sushi. There’s a bar in the DR where they make it. I had two different rolls & sashimi. They were all very good. The fish is probably high mid-grade, which is exactly what you’d expect for the location, pricing and style of restaurant they are. Lastly, they offer Sake along with an assorted cocktail & beer menu. I had Sake- no complaints, but if you’re reading this review and you’re the owner- go buy a few matching carafe/cup sets. Miss-matching IKEA shot...

My nephew had a 50th birthday on January 23rd and I wanted to give him a special treat. We decided on Japanese cuisine and selected this location (02/01/19). It was lunchtime so it was not crowded. The proprietor and the wait staff were cordial and very knowledgeable when presenting information about menu items (our first visit). We selected one appetizer, beef on a skewer, that was absolutely delicious! The selection of cooking spices and other flavorings were delicious. The meat was tender. We both selected the lunch boxes for our meals. My nephew had chicken and I had beef. The lunch boxes are "chock full of goodies", each with interesting flavors. The food was GOOD. I just didn't like the wasumbi (?) little pattie. It is just TOO hot. I was told that it was supposed to compliment one of the items and be dipped into the very delicious home-made soy sauce. To top the meal off, we had homemade cheesecake, served with strawberries, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Oh, did I mention, the table had fresh flowers and everything was attractively served. For all that, and we each had an alcohol beverage, the bill was only $50.00 and some cents. I highly recommend and I...
