Holy God! This was my first visit here and first sit-down restaurant since Covid-19 started to affect life, and although something out in place felt strange, the staff made the transition as flawless and effortless as possible! The food was out of this world! For appetizers, we shared the Tuna Tartare with tomatoes and capers, while my friend had the oysters (buck a shuck Sundays....shhhh🤫) and I had the crab cakes with lemon aioli and mixed greens. For entrees, she had the Veal Marsala with wild mushroom risotto and I had the seared scallops with sweet corn risotto and spinach in a lobster stock. The tuna tartare seafood is marinated in soy or mirin which was delicious even though they were tomatoes in it which I do not like. The oysters were from duxbury which for a buck you can't go wrong. And the crab cakes were heavenly they were mostly lump crabmeat and the lemon aioli perfectly complimented them. The marsala sauce on the veal was absolutely heavenly, and the seared scallops were cooked to perfection and the risotto lasted me three days. The picture of the scallop dish does not do it justice as I was too ravenous to wait to eat. Overall it was an amazing experience. Kudos to Anne Marie and the person she was training. you cannot tell who is training who that's how well they know...

We always sit up at the bar, but there is a dining area as well if that is more to your liking. The entire restaurant is cozy and inviting. On Saturdays, they have live music, nothing too loud and crazy, but just enough to nicely compliment the atmosphere.
The food....where to begin...we have not had ANYTHING on the menu we haven't liked. The bruschetta is one of our go-to starters, as it is light and flavorful app if you are going for a heavier dinner dish. Stuffed meatballs are also popular, as is the crab and shrimp fonduta. My husband's favorite dinner is the chicken and broccoli alfredo (I always steal some pasta because it is the best penne in our area). My favorite is the chicken piccata with spinach risotto. Mouth is watering just thinking about it. Their specials change frequently, so there is always something new to try. The hardest part of dinner is choosing one! We do not always get dessert, but the carrot cake is excellent.
Definitely give this place a try if you are in the area. It provides that nice, relaxing, dress-up or dress-down, cozy feel that is perfect year-round. You will not be...

After enjoying a delicious meal, I left the restaurant -- and realized the next day that I had left my purse (containing cash and gift cards) there. The next day I called, and the purse was waiting for me -- with hundreds of dollars in cash, gift cards, etc.
The employee station is apparently used by several folks.,.and I realize that this is an outstanding business --- not only for its five-star meals, but also for the integrity of its staff.
As for the food! My family eats out a lot; the meal was top notch. We ordered the chicken piccata and rigatoni and shared both. The food is so delectable that I recommend sharing dishes -- so that you don't miss out!
Regarding the chicken piccata --absolutely scrumptious. I don't even have the language to describe. Savory, tangy, a perfect blend of flavors and textures. Superb.
The rigatoni was also scrumptious....a delicious combination of flavors.
Service was excellent -- warm and professional, and the atmosphere was calm, peaceful.
As for environment, the restaurant is charming..dimly lit with a lovely fireplace and rustic...
