Detroit Wing Company — Restaurant in Eastpointe

So I recently ordered from DWC for the first time ($11 meal half boneless lemon pepper & barbecue classic wings w/fries). I took the first bite of the lemon pepper wings and they were Extremely Overpowering and salty. I could not even eat them. It almost taste as if the top came off the shaker when they were seasoning them...big disappointment. I eat lemon pepper wings from other establishments all the time but Never tasted like that. The honey barbecue classic wings sauce was pretty Good however the wings were a bit under cooked. Fries were decent. Overall I was disatisfied. The next day I received a text about my experience and I replied back "Horrible". Shortly after, I received a phone call from Gus who then asked about my disatisfaction, so I explained the above. Gus was very friendly and polite..And explained that All customers can have their food prepared accordingly based on personal preference and that I can request that next time, hence the undercooked wings. He also apologized for the inconvenience and offered me a Gift card for another meal! This was very surprising considering many businesses will only spam you with texts for survey's to improve service...But he actually called to follow up immediately after which I thought was Excellent Customer service..And I'm huge on customer satisfaction! Hey this place is absolutely great I went there for the first time last night the reason why I went there is because I went to the Buffalo Wild Wings on 9 Mile and Harper in St Clair Shores I went in as the young lady can I get off Flats they denied me saying that it's not their policy I told her every other Buffalo Wild Wings I go to allows me to get all flat except for this one I walked out a friend told me about DWC I went there walked in the young lady was friendly helped me I asked her can I have all flat she said sure explain everything to me this is one of the best experiences I've had I am so glad so so so glad! That there is a alternative to Buffalo Wild Wings... I'm sick of them not giving me what I asked for the wings are hard sometimes and the only thing they have going for them is they got giant TVs I look forward to the day when Detroit Wing Company expands and gets a sit-down venue and get some large TVs it's over for Buffalo Wild Wings everyone please try this restaurant out you will absolutely love it no hassle and they give you what you ask for I advise you don't waste your time going to the Buffalo Wild Wings St Clair Shores Michigan Harper and 9 Mile... Update I had posted a review a few weeks back about a not-so-stellar experience at DWC. I did receive an apology from the owner and went back in this past weekend to try it again. I got 6 Creole Parmesan classic wings (my fav) and tried 6 Butter Cheese. YUM! My daughter and I loved them and had a great dinner. The staff was very friendly and I am so happy that DWC and I had a great experience together. Thank you, Gus, for urging me to try again - definitely worth it!

I've been to DWC many times. Maybe this was just an 'off' day, but, I was disappointed... I got a 12-piece and did half Creole Parmesan (I have had this sauce many times before) and half hot with garlic (I think it was Calypso?) Ugh. No. The hot one just wasn't my speed. Not the heat; that was tolerable for me, it was just the sharp flavor of the saucesauc the garlic was overpowering to me; perhaps that is just a personal preference. The Creole was good, yes, saucy, but, it's been better on other occasions. My daughter's mac and cheese had undercooked noodles and the cheese sauce didn't cling to the noodles. Dang. I was so looking forward to our dinner and it fell flat...
