Legend's Coney Express — Restaurant in Eastpointe

This place is the definition of a hidden gem, used to be paired with a Coney Island restaurant located next door (which has since closed and rebranded which tells you how good the express is that it’s still thriving). The food is always great I am convinced they get their meat from a boutique place because it tastes just a step up from all other coney food. I have tried all the staples, coney dogs, cheeseburgers, hanis they are all good. I have been coming to this place for 20 years if that says anything as well. It would get a 5 star rating from me except the last 2 times I have visited they forgot an order of fries, and I verified on my receipt that I was charged and paid for them. So shame on me for not verifying the food but if an order is 5 items and consists of 2 burgers 2 fries and a coney dog it seems hard to miss 1/2 of either thing to me . Bottom line, check your bag and you’ll be happy...

Normally the food is good. This time however, got there about 12:45am and waited in a line of at least 10 cars we were out to the street. I didn't mind the wait but, when we got up to the speaker the dude taking orders was rushing us and rude talking about "We bout to close" and we had literally just got to the speaker. Not like we were taking 10 mins to order. We waited in this long line. Give us a second to look what we want. We ordered only two orders of cheese sticks ..and we were only charged for one therefore, my boyfriend didn't get his order. How hard is it to punch on the register 2 orders of cheese sticks? If the dude taking orders would have stopped running his mouth maybe he would have got the simple order right. Worst service I've ever had from this place and I been going here for years. I don't know who y'all hiring right now, but...

Before I left the house my wife said they can't mess up the wings there pre-cooked, Well she was wrong , lets just say if you like Coney islands this is not the place to go. I ordered 2 wing ding dinners one with chili cheese fries and the other with just cheese fries. They put so much cheese on the fries that you couldn't find the chili and for the other order the cheese turned the fries into mush!!! The chicken tasted like burnt old oil. I only tried them because they where right down the street from my house, next time I will inconvenience myself and find a better Coney Island or just cook and keep my money in my pocket. I wouldn't recommend this place to someone that I hated!! please if you like food this is not the place you should go there are much better places around this Coney Island for you to spend...
