The Bagel Barn Cafe and Deli — Restaurant in Edgewater

Some of the best bagels I have had! They have a great assortment to pick from (when they are in stock), but they sell out fast.

They have a lot more to offer than just begals as well with a full menu for breakfast and lunch. They have a bistro inside as well that I hear has amazing coffee (I have not personally tried it).

The begals are always fresh and delicious. Their bacon & cheese Egg Begal is amazing (it is and Egg dough begal with cheese and bacon melted into it!) It can be eaten by itself or adding an egg to it to take it up a notch.

Parking is very limited, as is inside seating, and there is no outdoor seating. It can also get very cramped at the entrance, which is also where the pick-up counter is for begal and online orders. There is a separate counter for sandwiches, and the coffee is in its own corner.

The layout can be a little confusing, but asking a worker also gets you where you need to go, and they are very friendly.

They have online ordering with Toast TakeOut but I have had lots of issues with it not working or the stock online being wrong so when you arrive you have to pick from what is left (for begal orders at least).

They do tend to have good stock of the common begals (plane, everything, cheese, and such). Their cream cheese, while amazing, has been less stocked the last few times I've gone (mornings on Fridays usually) that might just due to bad timing but it is sad when there is no plane cream cheese.

Overall, though, everything I have tried there has been top-notch. I would fully recommend this to anyone wanting a good begal or any breakfast/lunch item they have!

I have given them 3 tries, all 3 visits I got breakfast sandwiches. Each time I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich. I ordered them on crossiants the first two times. My first time was my best experience, the sandwich was tasty & and the crossiant was pretty big, cost 6.50. The 2nd time I ordered the same thing but with extra bacon, it was $8, and I got alot of bacon on it.. Problem with this sandwich, the crossiant was basically falling apart and it was super messy. Messy to the point of unpleasantness to eat. I waited a few weeks and decided to give them one more try.. This time I ordered the sandwich on a sub roll, I also ordered extra bacon. This time I paid $6.. (I didn't question it) got home, the sub roll was not toasted or even warm, I wanted scrambled eggs they gave me over hard, and it has two ✌️ pieces of bacon! It was really the most pitiful breakfast sandwich I ever had. So each time there was sime sort of issue. They used to have a couple lady's behind counter and a man cooking, the last time they had like 8 ppl behind the counter and the service & atmosphere was totally different.. Since then, I've decided to just make my own its cheaper, and way better & bigger anyway. I may give them another try and re review them, im highly unsure if I want to try...

Food is great if you get what you order, More then once I have received incorrect orders ,if this was the 1st time this happened I would understand , however this seems to be a reaccuring issue , when I call to explain my order was wrong I am told that they had my order as something completely diffrent Being diabetic there are certain foods I can not eat and therefore would not order yet that is what I was told my order was ..when the order is right the food is fantastic overall terrible experience Update ...now several weeks after posting review when I was told owner would reach out to me and still nothing terrible service if it was a one time bad experience ok what ever but when it's a repeated thing I am sorry do better....so updating after several months after I was told someone would reach out and still not a word I figured maybe the review would get a response someone guess not glad I've found better places...
