These Empanadas are the real thing!!! Recently discovered the Buenos Aires Empanada Bar since my family has ties to Argentina. If you have ever been to Argentina, hopefully you have enjoyed these delicious palm sized "pies" filled with either ground meat, ham & cheese, or other delicious fillings. However, empanadas prepared in the Argentine style are hard to find in the USA, especially in the Philly area. Typically in the USA, they are usually fried, vs baked, and too greasy for me. Well, thanks to BA Empanada Bar, I can now eat the best empanadas that I have ever eaten since I visited Argentina, too many year s ago. Consistent with these high quality empanadas, Claudia, the owner could not be nicer or more accommodating. In fact, since a member of my family has celiac disease, she even made us a dozen gluten free empanadas, on request. And then to top if off, don't forget to take some Tres Leches cake for dessert, also highly recommended. The proprietor couple is focusing on empanadas and the Argentinian pride is palable as soon as you step in. Don’t mention the lost world cup final 2014… especially as a German. Great customer service, it feels very genuine and welcoming, the delicious empanadas come in a variety of flavors and are finished as you order them.
