i've heard good things about the matcha here in the past but i was really disappointed once i tried my drink :( i'm sure it's no fault of the barista, but the quality of the drink itself wasn't great. i ordered an iced lavender matcha latte with oat milk, but it tasted almost like coconut and nothing like matcha or lavender at all. if you're picky like me and looking for ceremonial matcha, this isn't the place. for a drink that runs around $8-10 on average, i was really disappointed at the quality compared to the price. i get it, matcha is expensive, but i don't believe charging customers for the price of ceremonial grade matcha just to then give them a lower grade is fair or good practice.

Edit: i want to clarify that when i say ceremonial matcha, i mean teahouse grade ceremonial matcha. ceremonial ≠ teahouse grade and companies can label their product ceremonial even if it's not because it isn't regulated. in my original review i stated that i DID get it sweetened, and i don't appreciate feeling belittled or patronized when i know what i am talking about. i've been a barista for over a year, and i've been buying my own matcha powder for over a year as well... i know what the texture/consistency of ceremonial matcha is (which this definitely was NOT, regardless of whatever label the company decided to slap on) and i KNOW that matcha can be an acquired taste. if anything, the drink was TOO sweet. like i stated before, it didn't taste anything like matcha, typically an umami/earthy flavor, or like lavender, floral. whoever is reading and responding to these reviews, please take the time to fully read your feedback rather than getting defensive and cherry picking parts of reviews in an attempt to damage control after receiving a less than ideal review. constructive criticism will be your best friend and the response i got is not a good look for y'all. definitely not coming back after this experience,...

We stopped by to get a quick coffee before going to a movie showing. We had an hour to spare so I thought we could just drink coffee and chill there for a bit. Ordered two small lattes for about $16 and noticed there was only one employee taking care of register and making the orders. I expected a bit of a wait, but 45 minutes passed by and order was still not ready. By this time another employee showed up and started helping out with orders. The movie showing was about to start and saw that there were still 5 customers ahead of me that still hadn’t gotten their orders yet either. I decided to cancel my order so I could still make it on time for movie and buy something over there instead. When I asked employee to cancel order and get a refund she said order would be out shortly. We decided to wait a bit longer, but 15 minutes passed and customers ahead of us were telling employee there was a mix up with their drinks and they got the wrong ones. At this point the movie had already started and they were still trying to get other customers orders figured out, so I went up to employee again to cancel order and she said she couldn’t. She said management only could do refunds and manager wasn’t there. She told me to leave my phone # and manager would call to do a refund. On top of all that wait time they couldn’t give me a refund. That inconvenience just ruined the rest of the evening for us. Waited 3 days and still no call from anyone. Charge already cleared my bank and no refund has been issued. Poorly...

Cultura has THE BEST coffee in the whole valley, period. I'm very particular with coffee based drinks due to the fact that most coffee shop coffees taste super dark, burnt, and acidic. However, Culturas blend is super light, mild, soft, almost buttery in flavor. Making it a delicious cup of coffee to enjoy if you prefer lighter roasts like myself. I've mainly only had hot coffee's of varying flavors like the dulce de leche one and the mazapan one etc and they're super good. I will say though, to my disappointment their hot matcha drink was not very good :/ And my only other critique is that they tend to dim the lights for some reason and it's hard to see what I'm working on because of that. But, overall I freaking love...
