Bert Ogden has the worst service department anywhere!! My son purchased a 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX and has had nothing but trouble with it. The issue is that his turbo does not work on 3rd, 4th and 5th gear in less than a year after he purchased it. He took it to Bert Ogden Subaru where he purchased it with that chief complaint. Service tech fixed something and a couple of weeks later the issue started back again slowly progressing he got stationed in Japan and left the car in my garage he had never told me the issues he was having. Upon his return to the states he was stationed in UTAH where he took the car to the Young Subaru dealership telling them the issue he was having. They told him he had worn out his clutch and they replaced under warranty issue was never fixed and he couldn't take it back for the reasons he was being redeployed again. As he was parking the car he asked if i could take his car back to Bert Ogden Subaru and he explained to me the problems he's had with the car, somehow he had left out the part that they had replaced his clutch, I agreed and took the car last week to the dealership. That afternoon the young lady called me from the dealership service department telling me that they found the problem with my car and it was the throughout bearing and a unbalanced flywheel. I thought that it was odd for the reason that I had my dealing in the past with bad clutches and I wasnât having issues with the car clutching system. I gave them the green light to replace it. Later that afternoon my son called me and I had told him what they found with the clutch assembly his remarks were "impossible" they had recently replaced his clutch in UTAH. When i picked up the car i was hesitant in paying the $1900.00 until I test drove the car with the mechanic. I had already expressed my concerns to the young lady about it not being the clutch. When i arrived she called the mechanic so that he could test drive the car with me. Truth be told the new clutch that was put into the car didnât fix anything. I showed the mechanic the chief complaint of the turbo not engaging at all. His remark was it was an older car and it wouldn't ever work the same as it did. I didnât understand how a car that's 3 years old with less than37000 miles couldn't be fixed even with replacing the turbo. I ended paying the 1900 for the clutch and had left with a feeling of being robbed. I was hoping to have the car ready for him upon his return. Now Iâm looking for a mechanic to fix the car. I guess the reason for this posting is to deter people from doing business with Bert Ogden Subaru for the reason that their service is lousy and have no problems taking peopleâs money without...
Read moreBert Ogden Subaru Didn't Tighten the Oil Drain Plug! It fell out, draining all the oil on the ground in the middle of nowhere Texas! April 15 2024, my wife dropped off her 2024 Crosstrek Sport for the scheduled oil change. We picked the unwashed car up two hours later. The following day we drove to Houston and were returning to RGV that same day. As we were driving home, between Corpus Christi and Victoria, ( the middle of nowhere), the car started smoking really badly. We pulled over immediately and shut off the car thinking it was on fire. We opened the hood to find no fire, no gas or oil on the top of the engine. Under the car, oil was gushing out. We called Hicks Subaru in Corpus to tell them we were coming and called a tow truck. Apollo Towing showed up 20 minutes sooner than expected and took us to Hicks. Joseph Sturgeon at Hicks to control of the situation upon arrival. This guy is the best ever. It was obvious the problem was either a loose oil filter, a missing oil pan drain plug, or a blown engine. You guessed it, the oil pan drain plug was totally missing! How is that even possible? Who could be so poorly trained, unsupervised, or just plan dumb to not tighten the oil plug. Joseph and Hicks were as shocked as we were. They took tons of pics, and called the clowns at Bert Ogden. Hicks was very careful to spend the time needed to get oil back in the car and insure that there was no damage. They worked out a deal so they could bill Burt Ogden for the repair and not hassle us. All that remained was for us to be reimbursed by Burt Ogden for the $442.80 towing fee. Well guess what, nobody at Burt Ogden is available on the phone. Nobody with authority is available for a face to face chat. Of course we are getting the run around. We'll try to resolve this over the next couple of days, but if we can't, we'll just file a Small Claims action against these jokers. That's probably the only way we'll be reimbursed. Burt Ogden, all Hat and no inventory,...
Read more10/10 service and long post ahead I was in the market for a new vehicle but since the car buying process has always felt intimidating. My husband is no car buying expert but he can pick up "red flags" when it comes to knowing if someone is taking advantage of someone in terms of making a car deal (he's had some bad experiences before) so he decided to try out several dealers with me to see where he would feel comfortable taking me to sign for one without feeling scared or pressured.
He had purchased a Subaru from this dealership years ago but did not know anyone currently working there sadly. But the customer service he received from the sales team there felt like (segĂșn el) going back to do business with old friends that he immediately called me to go with him after work. He ended up purchasing a new Subaru with the help of Jairo as well as Michael. The whole experience felt so genuine that I started telling my husband to look for a Subaru for me too (even though I was looking into Kias, Toyota, Hyundais etc) It was tough for me to actually decide who to do business with but I'd gladly refer my family members to either of them if they're ever in the need of a vehicle.
After running numbers, checking trade in and all that we ended up with a price offer that I was super happy with, not to mention a new Subaru with all the features I wanted and even more. The finance manager Julian also took his time to go over any questions my husband and I had and again it felt like we were just talking to a friend the whole time, rather than someone that felt like we were only just another sale for him.
Apparently the bert ogden general manager Geoff was there too, I wish I had known so I could've told him about all of this (maybe next time if we see him)
Sorry for the long post but if you are able to finance or lease a new vehicle during this vehicle market craziness then I would really consider this Subaru and...
