My current side chick wanted to try out the food at El Caporal. The parking lot was packed, but there is extra parking lot in the rear. Surprisingly, there was no wait for a table, we were served crispy tortilla chips and colorful, tasty salsa right away. We ordered Chile's Rellenos plate and a Cheeseburger with fries, paired with a glass of Mexican coke on ice. The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned, fluffy, with savory flavor. The refried beans are rich, creamy, and deeply flavorful. The salad is a refreshing accompaniment of a small bed of crisp, shredded lettuce, topped with diced bright red, tomatoes, very nice. The Chile Relleno features a light, fluffy, crisp, almost buttery, batter encasing a tender, roasted poblano pepper filled with delicious, melted cheese and picadillo, and diced potatoes creating a satisfying flavor. The French fries are golden brown, soft and tender. The cheeseburger is juicy, delicious and well put together with lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, pickles, cheese and onions. The waitress was very courteous and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy, but spacious. The food was very delicious, but my only concern is that after leaving the restaurant, my stomach began developing a gas bubble and was percolating like an old coffee pot, then diarrhea. I am very disappointed in only giving 3 stars, but I don't think we will be returning to explore more of the menu options. I am not marginalizing the restaurant, the quality of the food, or the service. To be fair I gave 3 stars and I am just not going to chance...
Read moreI would love to say I had a wonderful Sunday breakfast with my family but unfortunately we never got that far. Upon arrival we were directed to a table where our would be "server" immediately was aggressive and refused us but then reluctantly sat us down when directed by a coworker. She took 30 mins to take our drink order which we anticipated as the restaurant was full but we noticed everyone who came in with us was attended too and eating. We were wondering why people were leaving. After finally ordering she did not return for an hour even after we asked for refills and made sure to purposely ignore us as she passed by. She was very interested in her male patrons to notice we left, along with other customers who got tired of waiting for service that was met with aggressiveness and ugly faces. Never taking my family here again, specifically because of the server whose only identifier was her scorpion tattoo on her hand. I hope management is able to fix that behavior, that is no way to...
Read moreCurrently, the only downside is that you have to order at the window as opposed to ordering at the speaker so that they can have your order ready at the window but they were fast at the window got my taco quick. I tried the breakfast taco 'Papa, chorizo and egg' I added white cheese and well you can see the size of the taco HUGE! The tortilla looked freshly rolled and homemade. The salsa was not spicy, but boy was it delicious. i tried it alone, and the flavor was on point. Can't wait to continue to try the breakfast tacos and am probably going back to try the enchiladas. Update 12/15/23 Got the Papa A La Mexicana, and I personally was not a fan too soggy because it had a lot of like tomatoe sauce, but that's just my opinion. See the picture. 03/13/2024 UPDATE They still haven't fixed there ordering speaker and they have no sign so I was in line thinking they fixed it and 2 cars past me. I called they said everybody knew already so basically too bad for you. Thats why they get 2 stars...
