First off, I love Braum’s. I frequently visit the one on Memorial and Bryant, but we were at Showbiz, so we stopped by this one out of convenience. The service was horrible, we were greeted by one of the three decent employees when we walked in, the lady in the fresh market- put her behind the ice cream counter. While we stood at the ice cream line, no less than SIX workers walked by us without even a second glance. We had two small kids with us that were practically hanging off the ice cream counter glass, and still we were completely ignored. Granted, the workers were all doing drive-thru tasks, but no one so much as smiled or said, “Someone will be right with you…” My husband wanted to leave, after five minutes of being ignored. I waited and FINALLY a reddish-headed young man asked if we had been helped (he had been in the back). Lourdes and her crew at Memorial or the crew at I-35 and 15th would’ve already had our order and taken our payment at this point. The young man was finally joined by another guy, tall with curly-ish hair. He helped get our order and took our payment. The other SIX workers, who were obviously tasked with the front registers, were slightly reprimanded, as I witnessed this encounter. The two guys went back to restocking the ice cream. Braum’s is awesome and I love their product, hence the two stars. The service at this Braum’s leaves much to be desired by anyone who has ever worked in the service industry. The drive-thru wasn’t...
Read moreMy family stopped for ice cream late Sunday afternoon. They were not at all busy inside, only 3 other families in the place. Every empty booth, table & high top table was dirty with spills, food crumbs & trash from previous diners, the floor had trash on it & all the windows were filthy. The Mens bathroom had no paper towels and was nasty. There were at least 6-7 staff seen, several just standing, laughing & joking around, up front. We asked to speak with the Manager to mention the dirty condition of the eating area. The young person who was identified as the Manager was dismissive of our expressed concerns, just shrugging her shoulders saying "okay", as in "so what, no big deal" When we then further suggested than since they weren't busy nor had they been busy the whole time we had been there (some 30+ min) that perhaps someone could go clean up the tables and eating area. Again we were meet with total disregard. Only giving a 2 star because the ice cream was good. The GM needs to get this place under control and train staff on proper customer...
Read moreI ordered a chocolate shake through the drive thru and was given what amounted to a cup of milk with a dash of chocolate ice cream to slightly flavor it. I went in to ask for a fix and was told that the "Shake milk" was out and the had to use regular milk but they would fix it. What I got was chocolate frozen yogurt in a cup. I didn't notice until I was 15 minutes down the road until I could finally get something through the straw. I called to complain and was told by the manager that they were out of scoop-able chocolate ice cream and that it is company policy to use frozen yogurt. Why did they wait to tell me that until I was gone and I called rather than when I was right in front of them and they could have offered me an alternative? I don't know and neither did the manager. So here I am with a cup of milk and a cup of frozen yogurt and no chocolate shake, and no answers as to why they didn't have the courtesy to ask if I wanted an alternative, but at least he offered me a refund if I turn around and drive all the way back so I have that...
