My wife and I were headed to watch a movie across the street and figured we would stop off at this mcdonalds. While waiting I checked a few reviews as I do review businesses myself and immediately saw quite a few "missed oreders", "missing food", "wrong orders". My wife and I were 2 of 4 people sitting in the lobby and while drive through was steady not crazy busy, so figured this would be an easy lay-up.
So we ordered from the kiosk using my mobile number, we were instructed to take a placard and input number for table delivery. The kiosk then updates the system with both a receipt number and placard number. As we were sitting we hear out placard number called. Of course we just moved along because well, most establishments have lost the art of customer service anyways and this will give me a chance to ask for some sauces. Walk up and nobody is available. Not just for a minute but as if actively ignoring us. So we sit down at the table and wait for a lull, figuring maybe they are just busy and this will give us time to check our orders. Fries were all fresh as were the chicken Nuggets. But the double burger I had ordered (no tomato, extra onions) only had 1 patty, tomatoes and no extra onions. I am a grown adult and willing to overlook and pick off a tomato. I'm also willing to walk away from no extra onions (usually free) but missing a patty? Fat chance. So i walked back up to the counter to again ask for sauce and get the burger fixed.. This time I was going to wait and count the time. I sat for 2 minutes while listening to the obnoxious beeping of the machines and a few people moving back and forth to keep the drive moving. Finally a guy walked in from outside the store and starting checking into the register, to which I was still standing while he fully checked in (not in uniform I'll add) and he looks at me and asks what I want. I request a manager and he says he can handle the issue and I explain and without a beat he takes the sandwich and gets me a new one without ever notifying management.
I came back and sat and thought about this entire situation and I honestly belive with other reviews and seeing several people reporting missing food/missing patties, that this is a management scheme. I believe that this store is heavily drive through based, and that management instructs their employees the skim food. While this accusation is extreme, in this case the facts stand out and the odds that I would infact have a very similar issue that many others have had, at this location and management isn't even notified when food orders are being corrected makes me believe this is purpose ran.
Most people won't come back or make mcdonalds fix the issue because it's "fast food" and mcdonalds has become a standard run of jokes about missed or messed up orders. People just expect this from these establishments, but I've eaten at mcdonalds enough to know when a habit or misuse is happening or if it's just untrained or understaffed issues. I am very familiar with all of the above. This case seems to be very much intentional. The positives were this store was very clean, and had great parking, fries and Nuggets were hot. Also they do not have a fountain machine in the lobby which tends to be "no refils".. I cannot confirm as we were in a hurry for our movie, but someone else may confirm this.
Final thoughts: any mcdonalds can have issues but if it's consistent then it's by design. So try this...
Read moreUpdate: I have been to this McDonald’s 3-4 more times recently and though I don’t use the McDonald’s app anymore & can’t speak to whether they’ve gotten their act together with that, the service has been accurate and fast! It seems that perhaps our poor reviews have been heard. I have noticed some new employees so maybe that’s the difference, but I have no complaints lately and didn’t feel like a one star review was fair anymore. Good job, guys!
Used the McDonald’s app in the store to order our lunch. We had an error which said bring the order number to the counter. We did that and the manager at this location blew us off and said he doesn’t troubleshoot the app. I said I’m aware of that but it says to bring you my order number. He asked what it was then looked and said well we don’t have that and took off back to the kitchen. I looked at the app and it said it was submitted and paid for. This was the manager and he didn’t care. He told the cashier to ring it up manually and charge us again. He was rude and impatient. I understand we are nobody to the big McDonalds Corp but for my husband who I said give them another chance to get him to even COME to McDonalds, he said this is it. He’s done with McDonalds. He met us for lunch anyways to see his kids and ended up having to leave to go get food elswhere, so obviously the manager doesn’t care but he ruined our family lunch. Read moreI spent 10 minutes going through the drive through, got home to watch a hockey game and took one bite of my "crispy"chicken sandwhich and found it was massively undercooked and raw in the middle. I called and the phone rang and rang with no answer. I drove back to McD's missing my game and saw a Hispanic family dining in the lobby so I tried to go in and speak to a manager. The girl that gave me my food saw me and I tried to tell her the issue but she just ignored me, so I left without a refund.
Do they serve raw chicken in Hispanic Countries? If I wanted Mexican food I'd go to a proper Mexican resturant, cause this McD's aint that but its also not proper American food any more apparently.
At this location they apparently do not allow White Americans to dine in or get refunds for uncooked chicken, but they allow Hispanic families to dine in. Whether they are eating cooked or uncooked chicken in there? Your guess is as good as mine, I'm only a White American, I'm not allowed to dine in like the Hispanics and I can't get refunded for uncooked chicken, so this review is my only recourse.
Do not eat here, it's literal Salmonela in a bag for outsider White Americans who are not allowed inside while Hispanic families eat inside and the Hispanic workers ignore the White customers trying to get a refund for uncooked chicken.
