QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Edmond

I've just gotta give a shoutout to the Qdoba in town and the young dude who owns it. I mean the Chipotle here is cool, but Qdoba is just so much better in terms of service, and food quality from my years of experience of eating both here!!! I've had lots of burrito eating experience.

In Edmond, my burritos often fall apart at Chipotle, and they never have at Qdoba. The steak is always chewy at Chipotle and it's great at Qdoba. And there's never some weird gross piece of chicken in the mix at Qdoba like there is at the competition. Not to mention they have a wider selection!

At Qdoba, after someone makes my food, they take off their gloves and ring me up so I can go or they have someone ready to take my money! I never really thought about it until I realized at Chipotle, they will just yell cash! And hang around wearing gloves doing something else while I wait until somebody finishes sweeping the floor in the lobby and runs behind the register to ring me up. That's if they can even find the person. What is that?! Take care of your customer!!! The computer paper printout telling us the meat is sanitary is reassuring.. And not only is the delicious quacamole FREE at The Q, management will sometimes give me free food in order to try a new item, or just for the hell of it! And the employees always feel so welcoming, compared to the ones at Chipotle who seem like you are just there bothering their work..

Walked in and found a phone on a table that was left behind. Tried three times to get their attention but was ignored so placed it behind the counter/register. No one said anything. Then we waiting in line... one person ahead of us. We waiting about 15 minutes ith no acknowledgement which is fine.. but those 15 minutes was enough to observe the horrible hygiene habits the staff has... so bad we had to leave without ordering. 100% confident we would have gotten sick. I watched the person behind the counter, touch money, pick something of the ground and wipe her face ALL with gloves THEN PROCEEDS TO TOUCH ALL THE FOOD!!! WITH THE SAME GLOVES!!! So gross. Now way you eat here and not get sick. Best decision I ever made was to leave...

The staff was friendly, quick and efficient in preparing the food and keeping the restaurant clean. The tortilla soup was excellent and consistent with other Qdobas, however the burrito had less meat and less flavor than other locations we've eaten at. Though the staff was friendly, they were also abrupt and spoke too quietly for customers to hear over the counter, so if this was our first time here, we would've felt rushed and unsure what they were asking us or suggesting. Since we've eaten here plenty of times, it wasn't a problem for us, but watching other customers struggling to order, we'd suggest the staff slow down and speak up when...
