The location on Waterloo in Edmond has a reputation for very poor service. They are always slow and often get orders wrong. I know from experience that if I want to get my order without having to wait 30 minutes, I need to order ahead. So I did that just today and didn't order anything too complicated or make any special requests/substitutions. I ordered two Sonic blasts. As usual, I went through the drive thru and as I was pulling up, I could see that they were already backed up. There was someone waiting at the speaker in front of me for about 10 minutes before one car moved up and I was able to pull up to the speaker. I waited patiently as they slowly started handing out orders through the drive thru and the line in front of me started to dissipate while the line behind me was getting longer. I assumed they were trying to catch up before taking anymore orders, but after waiting another 10 minutes, the same care remained at the window and I still hadn't been helped. I started to wonder if maybe they had a large order, but I only saw them handed two drinks before pulling away. Even then, no one answered to take my order, so I decided to pull up, giving them the benefit of the doubt that the speaker was broken. When I pulled up, a woman asked how she could help us and I asked if their speaker was broken since there was a long line. She informed us it was not, but that they were just busy. I gave her my name and she retrieved my order. It was obvious my order was made long ago, because the ice cream was nearly melted, but I didn't have the time or patience to complain, so I left. I love Sonic and I've never had this kind of experience, especially on a repeated basis. But I doubt I will ever visit this Sonic again, which really sucks because it's the only one even close to my house out here. This particular store is really giving...

On a recent trip, I went through the drive-thru (which I know is a relatively new frontier for Sonic) and ordered three drinks. After several back-and-forths and repeating myself more times than I care to count, I started wondering if I was speaking English or having a stroke. I even asked my wife to confirm I wasn’t—and then powered through.
Here’s what I ordered: Drink 1: Water Drink 2: Cherry & Apple Slush Drink 3: Fresh Fruit Lime Slush
Of the three, the water was the only one they managed to get right. The slushes, on the other hand, were a sensory experience I won’t soon forget—and not in a good way. I was too overwhelmed (and mildly stunned) to even go back and complain.
The flavors were dumped into the cups like someone opened a dam and let the floodwaters of America pour through. The fresh fruit lime slush hit like a tart, sugary fist—with no ice and zero effort to mix anything. The Cherry & Apple? Somehow worse. A concentrated blob of color in the middle made it look like someone forgot how liquids work.

Read moreThis store is THE WORST!! EVERY TIME! I’m talking 5 out of 5 times in just the last month or so that we have gone to this Sonic location they have messed up our order. It has become clear that they need a re-training at this location. They neglect to bring spoons out for shake orders consistently.. 3 out of our last 4. Visits.. The last 4 visits I have ordered a flurry, they have neglected to stir in ANY candy pieces and just give me plain ice cream with sprinkled candy on top and call it good. But charge me 3+ times more than an ice cream with stuff sprinkle on top. Any time we order from the app they leave out more than one thing from our order or mess up the order completely. They have served us the wrong shakes multiple times. We never have had an issue with other Sonic locations. Sadly, we have had an issue with this location EVERY time we come.
