I’ve been going here for years - I ate here all through college and kept going through Covid. But I’m done. Prices are just unreasonable now.
When I first started eating here, a taco plate was 5$. 3 solid tacos with some grilled onions and rice and beans.
The price went up to 6$ and I didn’t bat an eye. 5$ was honestly just too cheap - I almost felt I was taking advantage of the place. Covid hit and it was bumped to 6, then 7. I didn’t mind. Rising meat prices and all that.
They bumped to 8 last year. That’s ok, it’s more like the other taco places in town. The food at the truck isn’t that much better, but I’m a loyal customer. I’ll keep going.
This year they bumped to 11. That’s just unreasonable - I know for a fact meat prices haven’t more than doubled, but their prices have. The tacos taste the same - good, even great, but not by any means the best tacos I’ve ever had. The packaging changed, but I wasn’t complaining before. The only addition is a few cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. Pretty sure those don’t cost significantly more.
If they really are struggling to stay open, I understand. But it’s a tiny, cash only food truck. 3 small tacos and rice and beans shouldn’t be 11$. It...

As is stated in other reviews, the person taking orders is very rude, but sometimes this can overlooked if the food is good. In this case, it definitely wasn’t. The rice was dry, the almost burnt beans were under-seasoned, and the cherry on top was the fact that their “carne asada” is stew meat and not skirt or flank. Highly disappointed. Also if you’re wondering, they call this place “Cesar Palace” now and its reviews are horrendous.
Primo, este no vale la pena. Arroz seco, frijoles sin sazón, y carne de sopa en mi burro. El servicio tampoco estaba bien. Busca otra...
Read moreThe food here has progressively gotten better over the years, it went from alright to absolutely delicious. By far one of the best taco trucks around. It has gotten much more expensive over time, but the portions are large and still remain a good value.
I personally get everything with chicken/pollo. Everything has been delicious as well. Many meat options as well as breakfast burritos.
Edit: They just keep raising the prices and now it’s too expensive. Unfortunately I can’t afford to go very often anymore. The food is still breathtakingly delicious but it’s so much more expensive than other trucks around the city. I’d still consider them the best with the biggest menu...
