The Spices. The Meat. The food here is not bland and tasteless. When you look closely at the Kofta Kabob you can see the spices that are blended into the ground beef to give it its wonderful taste. The chicken was not overdone and dry. It had been marinated in a delightful mixture of spices and cooked to perfection. What really surprised me was the lamb. My wife ordered the Mixed Grill Kabob and I had the Combo Plate. The only difference between the two was that the Mixed Grill Kabob has a skewer of grilled lamb. I am not a big fan of lamb, but it looked so good, I had to try it. It was the best I have had. Both meals came with a good salad and rice. The dipping sauces (a yogurt mixed with spices and garlic sauce) complemented the meats and rice, perfectly. I had never had Labaneh. I had to give that a try. It is goat cream cheese with pita, a small salad, spice blend and olive oil for dipping. The goat cream cheese with the spice mixture is over the top delicious.

TERRIBLE SERVICE - I ordered a fatoosh salad and the chicken shawarma, with no tomatoes. The fatoosh salad was so heavily salted that it was inedible. I was one of the last people at my table to get my food and yet the fries were warm, not hot, and the shawarma had tomatoes in it. Considering that I am deathly allergic this carelessness could have been catastrophic for me. By the time they remade it most of my party was practically done eating and I had lost my appetite. Also, it’s very rude to reach over other people while they are eating trying to pass plates. This was a very unpleasant experience for me and I’m not likely to return. 0/10 for me UPDATE- apparently when the waitress took my food back to the kitchen, instead of making my fresh food with no tomatoes, they tried to scrape them out and bring it back to me. Imagine if I hadn’t checked FOR A SECOND TIME. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

We have gone several times as the food was so amazing, the portions generous, and the price was reasonable. At the same time, the service was excellent! On our first visit, the people there were happy to explain menu items and assist in our selection. Of course, this paved the way for more visits and even more enjoyable food adventures! While there is a Mediterranean restaurant closer to our home, we found this little restaurant's selections far superior. Of course, we always have appetizers - the spainkopita is simply heavenly! We found the rice with lentils to be the perfect accompaniment to all of the dishes we had tried. Work your way through the menu!

(Update: 2/22/2017)

They've stepped up their game significantly. Excellent food and service. The food here is beyond exceptional. Truly exquisite Mediterranean cuisine. Quite possibly the best I've ever had.

However, if you're looking to grab something quick for a lunch break, I'd have to tell you to go somewhere else.

I've been in three times, because I really do love the food, and I'm not in a hurry, but it seems as though there is a general...lackadaisical attitude towards efficiently getting customers in and out.

Allow me to explain.

When there's a line of people at the door waiting to be seated, you have to at least acknowledge that they're there. Either tell them to have a seat wherever, or that you'll be with them shortly. A sizable group of people waited in excess of 5 minutes without so much as a nod. Personally, had that been my first impression, I would have gone elsewhere.

Next, when there's a line of people waiting to pay for their meals, you can't be texting on your phone. I've seen that a couple of times, and it's wasting everyone's time and fairly inconsiderate.

In short, the truly wonderful people that work here just need to pay more attention to what's going on or maybe hire another server. It's not about rushing people in and out, but more about not keeping them waiting when they're trying to A.) Get in or B.) Pay for their meal and open up a table for the next person.

I decided to share this because these really are fairly simple things to correct, but it makes all the difference to some people, and lackluster service, even from friendly people, will tarnish a great place's reputation.

And I'd really like for this great restaurant to succeed. Hopefully after my next visit I can change this to a five...

🔥 Jerusalem Mediterranean Cuisine – Our Go-To Spot in Edmond! 🥙🍢

If you haven’t been to Jerusalem Mediterranean Cuisine, are you even living your best foodie life? 😆 This place is our absolute go-to in Edmond, and for good reason! Every time we walk in, the smell of fresh pita, sizzling kebabs, and warm spices hits like a hug from the Mediterranean itself. 🇬🇷🇱🇧

🌟 The Vibes: Cozy, welcoming, and smells like heaven. The kind of place where you know the food is made with love. The owners are always friendly, and it feels like visiting family (if your family could whip up the best shawarma in town). 💙

🍽 The Food: Absolute 🔥. The hummus? Creamy, smooth, and so good I could eat it by the spoonful. 🥄 The gyro? Juicy, flavorful, and wrapped in the softest pita. And let’s talk about the falafel—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with flavor. If you’re sleeping on their kabobs, wake up! The chicken and lamb are both next-level. 🍢🔥

🥗 Pro Tip: Get the Jerusalem Salad—refreshing, zesty, and the perfect balance to all the rich flavors. Oh, and don’t skip the baklava. Trust me. 🍯

Every time we come here, Amy and I leave happy, full, and already planning our next visit. If you love Mediterranean food (or even if you think you do), this spot is a must-try. ✅

📍 Edmond’s best-kept secret? Maybe. But I’m telling everyone! Go check them out!

If I could give zero stars I would. The service was absolutely horrible. I called 30 min in advance so that I could just take it and go. It was an order for just one person nothing crazy. I got there and they seemed like they had no idea I even had an order to go and finally found my name. She told me it would be right out and as I’m standing there the cooks are just laughing and finally the waitress goes to ask if they have my order and they both looked confused and say “no” the main lady starts telling them about how they missed the order and focused more on talking bad about them to other customers and her coworker rather than speaking to me about the issue. They both seemed to avoid me while I had to wait yet another 10-15 min for the food to be prepped and all they offered was “a little drink for my wait” I wanted to ask for my refund but it seemed they didn’t care at all to help me out and it didn’t seem as though the manager was in. Just kinda ridiculous to wait near an hour for food and not even really be acknowledged for it. I should’ve asked for a refund and walked out but everything was already so stand-offish and horrible customer service but they were extremely nice to other patrons coming in or already seated. Definitely my...
