This was terrible. Let me tell you why. I have 4 points I'd like to make. The lady taking the order seemed like she had 6 double espresso shots. She talked so fast it was so annoying. Now before you call me and arse for picking on people my point is this. If that's you, a fast talker and a go getter that's fine. What ever. But when a customer is continuously asking you "what" and "can you say that again" and "huh?" Then read the room lady SLOW DOWN. And it wasn't just me. Other people before and after me had similar responses. We ordered starters. From the STARTER menu. They came out after the sushi rolls. Also the miso soup came out after the sushi. I asked them to take it back because. IT'S A STARTER and I asked that they bring it later because I didn't want my sushi to sit on the table DYING while I eat my soup and I didn't want to eat cold soup after I ate my sushi. IT'S A STARTER!! This is a sit inside restaurant they also they have take out, but they can easily sit 30-40 people. They serve sushi in boxes??? Really???? Seriously??? That is so disrespectful to sushi. You should never serve sushi in a box to someone sitting in your restaurant. Give me a physical break. The food it's self. Lettuce wraps were mediocre at best. The filling was fine but it all CAME IN A BOX and made the box soggy. The rice in the rolls was dry and not good. The fish was okay at best. The food over all a C- I know this is Oklahoma but we have great sushi here and this should be better. Especially at $80 for three for a lunch.
Back to the miso soup. When they brought it out after the rolls I asked them to take it back and we will eat it at the end. No problem. I'm flexible. When I went up to get it 20-30 minutes later. The same paper cups were sitting on the counter. They tried to give them to me. Seriously? Cold miso soup? At this point I asked for my money back for 2 of them. My son still wanted it and I asked them for a fresh cup. By the way. It was terrible. Bland.
All in all this restaurant is terrible. Stay away. They don't want you to eat inside. They want you to take it with you. I'm sorry. Maybe I'm a purist but sushi should be eaten within minutes of being made. If you want take out, that's on you but a restaurant should not be set up for you to take terrible sushi home to...
Read moreI go to Nhinja quite often. Spend loads of money on their sushi and NEVER have I had a situation like this.
I make my order online. It doesn’t allow me to modify so I type in ‘no spicy mayo’. Paid for eel sauce on a roll. Etc. Whenever I arrived three of my four rolls were made incorrectly. I informed the manager and he said okay and goes to the guy who prepared it to remake them. Brings me my order about five minutes later... All three were still made incorrectly. So I brought it to his attention and he then says one of the rolls never said no spicy mayo, which maybe got cut off from writing but I for sure put it on there. Tells me I’ll need to pay ten dollars to make a new one... but why wasn’t I informed of this whenever I first brought the concern of it being made improperly instead of putting right back in the bag with it falling apart? And then doesn’t apologize for the other two being made incorrectly a second time. At this point I’m fuming and irritated because he has terrible management skills and tried to make it my fault that they didn’t read the comments for them. So I asked for a refund and a phone number to someone higher up. Got my refund but he wouldn’t give me contact info for anyone higher than him. The manager who I interacted with the entire time should have never made me feel as if I was at fault and he should have apologized and offered to remake the food and make it right after that being the SECOND time it was made wrong - or should have just made sure it was right the first time. Never once was I offered anything for my time wasted or their mistakes. I was only offered the feeling of it being my fault in front of an entire store of people.
WORST experience I have ever had here. After years of eating here I will...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about Nhinja Sushi! This place has quickly become one of my absolute favorites. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in a cozy little sushi haven. The staff is super friendly and genuinely makes you feel welcome, which is always a nice touch.
The sushi itself? Wow. Every piece is fresh, flavorful, and made with such care. I’m a huge fan of their "Ninja Roll" – it’s this perfect mix of spicy tuna, avocado, and eel with a drizzle of sauce that just takes it to another level. Honestly, I could eat that every day. The presentation of each dish is also so beautiful, it’s like a work of art on a plate.
I also love how the menu has a great mix of classic rolls and some more creative options for when I’m in the mood to try something new. And the service? It’s fantastic. The staff is knowledgeable, always happy to make recommendations, and just really attentive.
If you’re craving delicious, fresh sushi in a super chill spot, Nhinja Sushi should definitely be on your list. I keep coming back for more and can’t wait for...
