TLDR: If you like authentic Mexican food, a visit here will not disappoint.
We left a wrestling tournament at Harrahs in Atlantic City longing for some actual food (Harrahs food is trash). The wrestlers voted for Mexican food, so I pulled up restaurants near us, and this one came up. We took the 10-minute detour and pulled up to this unassuming little gem. The restaurant itself is smallish inside with maybe 6 to 8 tables. A few lovely paintings and music added to the authentic atmosphere. Our server came swiftly and didn't bat an eye when we switched to a different table. The menu had something for everyone (important with two vegetarians in our group). The chips were made in-house and served with green salsa and black beans. DELICIOUS 😋 They serve water in beautiful heavy glasses, and they had a full lineup of Jarritos available to drink. We tried the potato quesadilla as an appetizer and were not disappointed. The main courses were just as good. The burritos were packed and stacked, the shrimp fajitas were perfectly seasoned, and my husband was impressed with his steak nacho platter. The prices were reasonable, with the bill being a little over 90 dollars for 4 entrees, an appetizer, and 3 sodas. We all left with happy, full bellies and decided it was the best meal we'd...
Read moreExcellent Mexican food and atmosphere is what we experienced as my pictures show. You would spend as much at a diner without the quality or visual beauty that surprised us as we walked through the door. The restaurant is also very clean everywhere from floor to ceiling and restrooms. It seems almost out of place to the shopping center it is in. My beef burrito was high quality steak and everything fresh and tasty. LA Enchilada Mexico 🇲🇽 is the reason why we go out to dine for the pleasures of getting served the very best food in an atmosphere one just can't experience at home. If you are interested in a romantic, family or business event this is high on my list. The atmosphere speaks to Mexican History and is...
Read moreWhat a great (relatively) new restaurant in Egg Harbor City! It's run by a local family that also owns Plaza Mexicana, my favorite store for Mexican food supplies. I have eaten at La Enchilada twice and the food was so delicious both times! ...very authentic with great flavors and beautiful presentations! The tacos, tostadas and fajitas were yummy 😋 Tortillas were fresh and made locally in South Jersey. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes. It's located right next to Incollingo's Market in downtown Egg Harbor City. Give this restaurant a try next time you're in the mood for some great...
