Hard to find such a place like The Harbor Diner in these Post-Covidmess times. The authentic grill culture was waned as fast-casual has gone too upscale. Thankfully a few amazing joints still exist! Especially in New Jersey! And… on your way to the beach? Or, coming back home from the relaxing sand & surf? Take an added respite for the unique sense of self we all yearn for away from the madding crowds…. And do so here… at The Harbor Diner! 🍽️☀️

I don't usually like to say negative things about a business but we've had nothing but bad luck with going here, I'm not happy with the food the way it is prepared either it is undercooked or overcooked, the amount of food you get is usually a good amount but when you get a soup and the bowl is half full and barely war, it's hard to believe that the cook can put that up for the server to take out and the server actually takes it to the table. This hasn't been the first but I hope that it changes or it will be the last time I will waste my time and money going there. To top it off is that when we went to pay we had gift cards that were purchased here at the harbor diner and since they removed the machine that is used to scan the card there is no way for them to know how much is on there which makes that a problem for me since I don't know how much is on there, so good luck dinning there and hope you have better luck...

This is one of my favorite places to eat. Tonight I had the dinner special of veal cubes parmesan. Soup or salad is included. So I ordered the salad and told the waitress that I would also like a cup of soup ,for which I would pay extra. Meal is great and the waitress Jessica is great. I get the bill and i was charged for a side salad.Ok I have no problem with that, even tho that's NOT HOW I ORDERED THAT. It was $4.00 extra my whole dinner which is all inclusive of drink too. Is only $12.99.But to top it all off they have an additional 2 charges of 0.50.and $1.50. When I asked what it was for my waitress told me for the croutons and seperately the egg which I asked if could be put in. So now my small salad is costing me $6.00. That's a joke to pay for croutons and 1 small egg. THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS TO ALWAYS MAKE SURE OF CHARGES AHEAD OF TIME OR GET BURNT LIKE ME!! I still tipped her...
