Tak Shing Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Egg Harbor City

I originally was turned on to this Chinese food restaurant because my mother-in-law had leftovers. I love pork fried rice, and she had some, and it looked just like the photo I attached. It looked a lot different than what I'm used to, but I gave it a shot because she said it was so good.. and I was blown away! It's a lot lighter in color than normal pork fried rice, I've actually never seen pork fried rice that looked like this. I did notice on the menu that they advertise not adding msg, and now I'm starting to think maybe they don't add dye to their rice. I'll tell you what, I have ordered pork fried rice twice in the past week. As of August 2022 a pint is 695 and worth every penny! So much pork in the pork fried rice, don't mind my photo, I think I ate it all out LOL however, the pork is delicious, I would say it's very high quality, and they add a lot of it. I also tried their shrimp egg rolls, and they make them there, out of this world! The service is great, they cook everything quick and it is consistently amazing! The people who work there are exceptional with their customer service and very nice. They go above and beyond to make their customers happy. And I can't wait to try more of their food. I have heard nothing but good things. Now that I'm bringing it up to people I know, everybody says, "of course! I always order from there!" Well. I really wish I would have known about this place sooner! Highly recommended! The prices are not bad, they have a lot of combination platters and lunch specials. The food is phenomenal. Not like any Chinese in the area. The taste is fresh, very favorable and tastes like they made it themselves. Everyone is friendly and can’t do enough for you. But you will realize that most of the Chinese around this area go to Chinatown and buy everything made already and then maybe put it in the wok. No, not this lace. It tastes like a high end place like in Philadelphia. I can’t say enough about the freshness and the presentation. It’s different from all of the others around. Also, their area is clean and uncluttered. They wait on you right away and as I said nothing I’ve eaten there takes like they unfroze a couple bags of stuff from Chinatown. It was a fluke that I went there. I stopped at the grocery store. But I wanted Chinese food. I didn’t even know if it was open. They need an open sign. They are in a strip mall in Egg Harbor. The area looks just regular but once I got in the store it brightened up. I loved the food and so did my husband. Next tie I am getting double the order it was so good and we want to try everything. Go, you will be happily suprised and what’s more!? Their prices are less than any other places...

I love this Chinese place! It’s my family’s go to spot when we want chinese! I even asked my son if he wanted to try the new one around the corner he said NOPE I want tak shing lol I love the married couple I’m assuming they are the owners they are both great ! Very nice people! He is so quick on delivery as well! That’s why they will Continue to get our business! Plus their food is soooo good so that’s the main reason but GOOD customer service goes a long way in my book so that’s another reason why we always go to tak shing city !! We love them and their food!...
