Fletcher Hills Bottle Shop — Restaurant in El Cajon

I have been eating pizza from the Bottle Shop for close to 20 years. It used to be one of my local favs! USED TO BE! The pizza tonight has slipped to mediocre at best. The crust is now a chewy, thick, sweet dough. Unlike the dough in the past that was a hand tossed thinner fully cooked crust, tonights was under cooked and like eating a fresh pretzel with less flavor.

The pepperoni pizza and the sausage pizza had undergone extensive cost saving measures by both size reduction and topping conservation. If they would have kept the topping to size ratio the same the flavor would have at least peeked through the sweetness of the crust. Unfortunately the sparse toppings resulted in the undercooked cheese and bland sauce providing the only flavors to hit the taste buds.

I went in to grab a sandwich on my way home today at this well-known neighborhood shop. It's been a while since I've been in, I noticed they have an amazing selection of wine, liquor beer and anything you could ever possibly need to make any cocktail you'd ever want. However when I walked over to the deli to order my sandwich in the middle of a raging pandemic, the server, a young woman took my order and I walked around to give some space and check out the store. I noticed she went to the restroom then and when I came back around the corner she was making my sandwich without a mask. Just then another kitchen worker came out, that young man was also not wearing a mask. I asked her if she had just made my sandwich without wearing a mask, she replied yes, so I told her I did not want the sandwich. It is in a convenient location and pizza is often hit more than miss. I have called a couple of times to complain about pizza once the cheese actually smelled and tasted spoiled. They wouldn't even give me a full credit for another pizza but instead offered a percentage off another pizza. I ended up tossing it. Anyway to today's point website says free delivery and they deny it is their website. It is totally their website ofcourse but they refuse to honor free delivery. I spoke with the owner's son and he argued with me and told me to send him a screenshot and I did but when I called back he still said no he would not honor it....so why have me email it to them in the first place.
