We ordered mackerel nigiri, a sushi platter, and mixed tempura. The platter came out and the gal who served us told us that one of the sashimi was called "white fish".
Red flag number one!
The mixed tempura came out cold. Like, ordered by someone else, rejected, or mistake, and sat on the line.
R.F.N.2!
Then we asked about the mackerel. The server, the manager, and another server all had literally no idea what we were asking for. Oh my gosh.
R.F.N.3!
Didn't get sick or anything, but the rice was dry on the tuna rolls, the staff was less than knowledgeable in the product, and overall this was an annoyingly unsuccessful dinner.
Now, NBD right?! Well, no. Because this place is rated at 4.2 while places at least 3 times better than here are clocking in at 4.3 and 4.4.....uhhhh.....the disparity here isn't big enough.
So, I leave 1 star review. Because honestly, I'd drive ANYWHERE else in a 5 mile radius of this place and be so much happier. (Like Narumi which is like...
Read moreI have gotten sick from their sushi twice. Went there to eat with my wife for dinner one night and asked for a beer and ordered some food. They never told me that their refrigerator was broken--and brought me a warm Asahi open. I only received half of my order. I patiently waited for like 30 min then asked the waitress who never asked how things were where the rest of my order was. She said that she had forgotten and didn't even apologize also she left the food on my ticket, I had to have her remove the food we never got. At this point i was so irritated i asked to speak to the manager. She told me to hold on. so I waited and waited and waited nothing finally got sick of waiting paid for my food and left. I will never ever go there again. The quality of fish is better at Narumi or Siei Sushi both of which are close to Ahi Bamboo is good too just super expensive.
bottom line Stay amay from...
Read moreI’ve had great experiences here dining-in during the lunch special. It’s a really great deal and the service is always fine. I picked up for dinner for the first time and was a little disappointed in both the quality of the food and how long it took. I called in and was told it would take 30 minutes. I went in after 35 and ended up waiting another 15 before the food was ready. They were busy so I understand the wait. The food was edible and I didn’t get sick or anything, but the fish tasted old/some pieces were extra fishy. I’m not sure if it was sitting out for a while or just was lower quality. I would go here again but only for the lunch...
