UPDATE: I went back because my kids wanted to try them again. I was denied service because of my review. Guess their pride is worth more than trying to rebuild the relationship with a formerly loyal customer. This place has gone down hill significantly since the new owners took over. I used to come here every weekend, both mornings. The bagels used to be fresh, they had great staff, and we never had any problems.
Since the new owners took over the quality of the bagels went down. The "fresh" bagels started to taste like day olds. All of the good staff left - at once. And they can't seem to get it right or stock bagels. The picture was taken at 8:30am on a Saturday aka prime bagel time.
What really prompted me to write the review is that this morning they made my bagel wrong and asked if it was ok. When I told them no it wasn't ok, the manager/owner(?) Tried to make it right but didn't take the time to listen to the actual issue - the fact that they made a mistake and couldn't actually fix it because they were out of basically all the bagels including the types I enjoy. So while I was refunded, I ended up with a breakfast that I didn't want because they didn't have any stock. What made it worse was that a customer started yelling at me.
Needless to say I don't think...
Read moreThis is the first time staff was rude with poor customer service. We walked in and they there were 2 people preparing food with their backs towards us. They clearly knew we entered the restaurant because their legendary door bells rang and we were talking loud enough for them to hear us. Still nothing. No "I'll be right with you" or maybe just turn around and acknowledge we're there. At least 2 minutes goes by and my adult son says is anyone going to help us? Then a new kid comes from the deeper kitchen area and asks for our order. The man fixing food overheard my order and without turning around mumbles to the kid that the oven is out and they can't make that. The kid repeats what the mumbleman said. We decided to take our money elewhere. What a shock and...
Read moreDefinitely several changes made over the past year with the new owner. IMHO changes were made without customer satisfaction in mind. No longer carry pita/flat bread for sandwiches. Only offer 1 veggie sandwich. Vegan I and Vegan 2 are no longer on the menu. Due to being served on a bagel, serving size is smaller; yet prices are higher. Oh , and how can you not have pickles when you're serving sandwiches? Atmosphere is sterile, no longer warm and inviting. Ordered lunch at 1230, limited bagel selection. On a positive note, employees pleasant and the ingredients...
