Ive been awaiting anxiously the grand opening of this place. After reading all the hype. I finally decided to give it a try. The young lady taking orders, was friendly and courteous. So I began by asking what the carne asada burrito consisted of. She said beans , rice, lettuce and the meat. I asked if I could get it with cilantro and onions in lieu of lettuce. She replied no problem. Then I requested 2 tacos al pastor. ( mexican marinated pork) and 3 quesa birria tacos.. When I finally got the order appx 15 minutes later, I started with the burrito, at first glance it was a decent size. I bit into it and didn't get any meat only beans and rice. Didn't think anything of it. Figured I just bit the end. However as I kept bitting I realized that it was mostly rice and beans with a few scattered pieces of meat. Nothing worse than expecting a carne asada burrito and not being able to taste a the meat. Don't understand why one would advertise an item and then skimp on the main ingredient. An asada burrito the meat should be the main atraction not a cameo appearance. I then got the el pastor tacos, another disappointment. The meat was dry and crunchy couldn't taste it it was burned. It should be moist that it melts in your mouth. Finally I tried the queda birria they actually looked good. Till I started eating them they were a little bland but tolerable however when I notice it didn't come with the broth I fithey forgot. They didn't thats an extrs charge. Bummer all the other place a ive had birria they give it to you. As for coming back probably not, nor will I recommend it. Hopefully the management will address the lack of meat inthere burritos and fix the mest to bean and rice ratios or lower the price. As for the pastor again it shouldn't be dry and crisp. As for the cosome, again offering it with the meal like other establishment do...
Read moreFirst few weeks this place was open they were the best tacos around. The quality has been slipping a lot. The carne asada street tacos were the best in the valley for a few weeks. Now they can't even get the order straight when I ask for street tacos they give me regular tacos the price seems like it's gone up as I just paid $18 for four tacos last night and they were just dripping red oil through the foil and into the bag. The first few weeks they seem very friendly there was a guy named Max who was awesome and now it just looks like a bunch of high schoolers not enthusiastic at all about doing a job. In the first 4 weeks I went 4 to 5 times a week They were so good. Somewhere on the second month I got a terrible quality order that didn't represent what I knew and decided to give them some time. Maybe It's just an off day... Went back last night and decided I think I'm done I'll just drive to tacos Tijuana. The friendly welcome disappeared with Max. The last time they gave me a bad order I contacted them on their website to let them know and they didn't reach out at all. The last two orders of tacos were just swimming in red oil... It didn't used to be like that. I would love for this to become my favorite place again but the vibe has shifted with all the new faces. They didn't even put limes in the bag. That's like not putting the meat in the taco. Lol. There was one girl that stayed busy but then there was a cute check that had a lot of makeup on that stayed on her phone like almost the entire time that took the order and then bagged it. That's all I saw her do the entire time. Lol. Think they need to hire some older people...
Read moreMy sweet family member had been in the hospital recently and all they could talk about was how they couldn’t wait to get out and eat some Quesabirria tacos from The Taco Spot. I had heard some good things word of mouth, but I don’t get a chance to visit El Mirage often. It is slowly growing with more places so a few of my kids and I made our way over today. The location sits in a strip mall and is not very big, but they’ve made great use of space by the layout of their counter and seating. It was bright inside and very clean. The woman at the counter was very kind and though it was very busy we had our order taken very quickly. We settled on 15 Quesabirria tacos as well as loaded fries with asada, two horchatas and a fountain drink. Our order was ready pretty quick and last minute we decided to rode five more tacos. So glad we did because they were so dang tasty! Remember most were for my family member to help brighten their day a little. We added four containers of consommé as well. I loved that they put the cilantro and onions on the side for the larger portions of tacos because my son does not care for onions and such. The five extra tacos came with it inside the tacos already. The loaded fries portion was huge Mr enough to share with my daughter. The consommé had great flavor, but the tacos were the best out of all. Definitely will have to come back to try the...
