I've eaten here three times now and have had a different experience each time. The first time was wonderful - excellent service and great food, 10/10, no notes. The second time, I ordered the French toast and about half of it was so soggy it was inedible. I get that they were probably going for a custard-like texture, but this was not that. Service at this visit was inattentive. No one checked in after the food was served, and I had to flag down a server to get my check. The third time, I took my son, and we seated ourselves at a four-top near the door. We were asked to move to a two-top directly next to another party despite the fact that the restaurant was 75% empty. I pushed back a little bit, pointing out that the restaurant was not busy, but we ultimately moved. We then watched as two other parties of two came in and seated themselves at four-tops, including at our original table. They were not asked to move. When I paid, they overcharged me, and I had to ask them to correct the bill. That alone would not normally not be an issue (mistakes happen, they corrected it), but at that point, I was already annoyed. Having now read the other reviews in which people describe being hurried out the door to make room for the next party or getting undercooked food, I probably won't return. For what they charge, eating in should be a...
Read moreWhat can I say but no. Pastries burnt yet undercooked fillings that taste like cold wet sod. Coffee that was adorable thank to good latte art but overall circle K has a better roast. Lastly the food. I tried multiple dishes: Almond croissant: 0/5 a mess no saving grace Danish: burnt but tasty still 3/5 French onion soup: 1/5 so much acid. Also a clear broth on a soup that uses beef or venison stock is hilarious to say the least. So much acid canât stress that enough. Phenomenal presentation was the saving grace. Croque madam: 4/5 never had someone serve me yet another acidic tomato soup with a croque madam but first time for everything. At 18 dollars a half sandwich is a little insulting to be frank. To boot the slivers of hams tasted like Albertsons finest deli cuts. Lightly cheesed and on their âsourdoughâ. The sandwich was a poor attempt of an amazing classic.
The prices of the pastry are prohibitively expensive. Without the consistent quality you are better off at grove and crave. The atmosphere is nice but it is far from an oasis and the busy atmosphere is made worse by a haphazard seating arrangement. Service was good although Iâll admit I didnât run into the shooing off issue that was mentioned as I couldnât run out of there fast enough. Save your money go anywhere else Cracker Barrel is a...
Read moreI donât usually take the time to leave reviews, but my first experience here was not the best and I felt the need to write a review so hopefully the owner can see it then maybe fix the service issues. Food was OK, The taste was really good, but the portion for the price was not worth it. The croissants were not as good as they look, but presentation was really good. Iâll give them that. The coffee is definitely their strong suit. It was really good. Where it gets a little dicey was the service our waitress was OK not fabulous but not bad, Once we were done with our meal and we were literally putting my sonâs food in his to go box. The manager came up and asked us if we needed anything else, Once I told her we were OK she told us she had people waiting so she needed to clean the table. I know itâs not a big deal but We felt like we were getting kicked out. I am coming out for an experience and for good service, It is up to me to choose when I want to get up to leave after my meal. Maybe even after paying my check, I may order something else if I decide to stay longer, but that was shut down by the manager. Worst thing was that when I brought it to her attention, She did not care she simply shrugged and said OK. My family and I will definitely not...
