As a dental hygienist (from out of state) it was very important to me to find quality of service as well as treatment. I have an advantage with being knowledgeable about the Ortho process, and it was easy for me to decide that I wanted to go to an office that has friendly service from the door to the operator chair. Rivera Orthodontics opened up on the west side and I went for a consultation. I was impressed with their modern and aesthetic, partial open-bay set up. I also appreciated being given ALL options of traditional, clear, and lingual orthodontics. Cost is always a concern but the cost of ortho was comparable to other clinics, plus each individual insurance has different coverage plans with ortho. In the end we went with clear Ortho, we used insurance, and we had out of pocket costs. My child was older (16yo) when she got her Ortho so she was tolerable of the need for X-rays, impressions, wearing her rubber bands, and being compliant with her home care. Throughout the process I didn't notice a high turn over rate of the staff; that reassures me that employees are experienced and happy with their workplace, which in turn makes me feel more confident in our care at Rivera Orthodontics. The clinic has up to date equipment and technology that helps keep staff efficient and patients comfortable like iTero scanning and 3D printing, and they have an excellent top of the line sterilization area. We have now completed treatment and are happy to have finished within the estimated timeline. Retainers are being smoothed down as we wait and my baby's teeth look beautiful. My retainers have been through some times and I needed some new ones. I moved to El Paso 2 years ago so I wasn’t sure what to expect here since I was use to my old orthodontist. Dr Rivera and his team were fantastic. I expected to just walk in and talk about price and go home wait another time to do retainers but I was able to get a consultation and I liked the price compared to another place quoting me way way more.
