Hilda's Tamales — Restaurant in El Paso

Woman was extremely rude on the phone. I understand this is El Paso, but you do not need to be disrespectful just because I asked if you speak english. “What do you want” is not how you speak to customers. (I guess you speak some english?)

People open businesses but do not take pride in it by being respectful to the customers that are keeping your lights on!

Plenty of other restaurants with a way better and more pleasant people. The customers are what make or break your Business.

I had a dreadful experience at Hilda’s Mexican food where they served stale, old food that made me question their commitment to quality. The Horchata was bitter and my main dish, the menudo had no flavor and it seemed old.The bread also seemed like de-heated and old . Great Tamales and friendly service. The masa was nice and tender and was loaded with spicy pork. Knowing Spanish is definitely helpful as Hilda’s English is spotty. However it was way better than my Spanish! I was the only customer at the time (10am Sunday morning.) and we were able to have a good laugh as we figured out what each other was trying to say.
