But rather than react, I walked up to the front, kindly introduced myself, let them know it was my first time, and asked if I should wait to be seated or just pick a spot.

The gentleman at the front was incredibly kind. He explained they were short-staffed and asked me to make myself comfortable. Within moments of sitting down, he brought over drinks, checked on us, and gave us genuinely great service.

This experience reminded me that the energy we bring into a space often mirrors what we receive. Buon Giorno Caffe is a collection of the best possible attributes you want in a restaurant; Tasty dishes with sides like Tuna pasta and fresh salad with homemade dressing that are well worth the modest price, an immediately welcoming and friendly environment with great music at a comfortable volume that allows for conversation, and maybe most importantly... outstanding service on a level I've yet to see matched. Giovanni, who I presume is the owner, made my wife and I feel like the two most important people in the world. I felt like I could be best friends with the guy in a heartbeat, and he seemed to evoke that same reaction from every customer in the restaurant. I went to try this place when I was walking in the area and about to step into Village Inn to cool off for a while. I'm glad I changed my mind. Buon Giorno Cafe is a cute, quaint family-owned eatery with a comfortable atmosphere and tasty meals & treats. Food portions were bigger than I was expecting, especially at their prices. Not only was it filling, but it was delicious. I got the grilled chicken panini and coffee gelato and both were excellent quality. It's kept clean and there's plenty of space between tables and in the bathroom if you have a stroller or wheelchair, that's definitely a plus. Only drawback was that it was still a little hot inside the cafe. I'm not sure if they don't have adequate air con, but there was just one small fan underneath the little display by the door.
