La Gorda — Restaurant in El Paso

I love the people here. Great attitude and wonderful gorditas too!!! Camila has such a pretty smile and the remaining staff a joy to speak. The food is on point and affordable! $1.25 delicious bean and cheese please! Lol. They also have non acoholic sangria! What a joy! Best of all is there self serve coffee station which comes in handy when busy days flock. Gordas are fresh and quisados are nice. If I had to choose nachos, the tap is hard to beat; but these here are a happening bunch! 5/5

11/19 I came back. I always do because I love the people here. They were so good to me but appearently it was all a hoax. When I arrived on this day I could honestly say I had some of the best tortillas I ever had. I was so impressed that I expressed my gratitude to everyone there. It was then a fellow patron revealed to me the truth. "The tortillas are always this way." he said. I could'nt relate until I started looking at everyone else's plate. Was it true? Yes it was. So turns out, I made someone upset here, possibly management, because I began to notice a decline in the quality of tortillas. When you are broke, the last thing on your mind is how fresh the food is because all you want is to eat. But when you are not and pay full price for lesser quality- one can't help but to eventually take notice. I believe they were serving me their worst tortillas and why I don't know. I went with my sis and her my brother in law, and he order 1 packet of 2 Gorditas, one red and one green. And the girl at the widow charged him for 2 packs of the 2 Gorditas, and then when we asked for the money back, they said it would take up to 2 days, but then we asked for it back in cash and they said they couldn't give it to us, they then proceed to give us some for free but not even the right ones, in all honesty, as my first time going, I did not appreciate how they were treating us and how they were charging us and giving us...

The food was good. You get your food fast. It's a real fast paced place. Meaning you see allot of people in and out. It doesn't seem like a place to sit and relax it's more like go have lunch and leave. The place was clean they had ran out of containers for the salsa but I did let an exployee know and they quickly solved the issue.
