Las Lunas Bakery — Restaurant in El Paso

I have had nothing but one bad experience after another at this bakery. First, I went through the drive through and asked for an apple fritter and the lady had no idea what I was talking about. The second time I went was around the holidays and asked for tamales. They wanted to give me cold tamales and I asked, "I thought they were just made and would be hot." To which she replies, "I can heat them up in the microwave?" Like what?! I left. I had not been there in a couple of years and decided to go through drive through and asked what kind of sweet bread they had. I wish I was making this up but the lady said she didn't know. How can someone work at a bakery and not know what kind of bread they have in hand? I am done with this place and cannot believe they're still...

I had tried calling several times over the past few days, attempting to find the pricing for a whole flan cake. After ringing for a long time, the phone would be answered in Spanish, and when I would attempt to speak in English, they would just hang up the phone. Extremely unprofessional and shows they don't want/need new business or customers. If you don't speak English, that's fine, I speak Spanish poorly myself, but at least have the courtesy to state "Lo siento, no hablo inglés" OR "Un momento" and see if there is anyone working that does. That way you don't lose business for your severe lack of courtesy or customer service. I will never provide them with any business if this is how they treat...

Found out about the place about 2 years ago through a friend of mine, I was told to try the weenie and chipotle burrito...Best decision of my life. The building is cozy looking with a bit of a "rusk o" appeal (old Italian styling). Although with all respect its interior is left to be desired does need a bit of a remodeling but kept decently clean. The food is delicious and the sweet bread is made fresh (yes it is a panadería as well) as well as the tortillas.
