Martha's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in El Paso

Firstly, I went to the bathroom after my husband and I ordered. The smell of feces and body fluids (poorly masked with some sort of deodorizer I'm guessing,) was so strong I immediately felt a wave of nausea. I could only bring myself to wash my hands, but then I needed to get out. The food was ok. I got the Caldo de rez and I enjoyed it, but I thought the rice to be a bit chewy. My husband ordered the tripitas and was unsatisfied with the amount of actual meat on the plate. He said the amount of tripitas didn't really fit four tacos, more like two, and was overcompensated with too many onions. He also said something similar about the rice, and additionally that the beans were burnt. The limes were left out, obviously, since they were very dry. Went to eat breakfast she brought the bread and sodas but took forever to bring the menudo and eggs and picadillo. I asked you for some more bread. It took her more than 15 minutes to bring the bread I asked her if I couldn't get my menudo in the micro. Again it took forever for her to bring her back. The bill she had charged me for an extra soda that was never ordered or consumed and 250 for the extra bread. I do not know if it's a common practice for them to overcharge everybody since they never give you a bill they charge you a total price at the cash register. This is my favorite little place to come eat. The food is authentic! Always tastes delicious, always satisfied. The staff is amazingly nice. Great customer service. I’ve loved going and eating there often but even to this day with the pandemic and everything that hey spinal distance and obey all requirements for in-house dinning, but I just call, place my order and pick it up. Presentation is always perfect too. I recommend their gorditas, the enchiladas, menudo, and chiles rellenos.... those are my favorite but honestly anything you order here will taste to perfection.
