Tacos Don Cuco (North Loop) — Restaurant in El Paso

Food is good most of the times i go over....... But i recently went over to pick up some forms and i had previously called ahead to let them know i would be coming down, all was good....... Until i got here, and well really hard to even get directions To specific locations within the building, i ask where hr is and they point no direction just point down the hall..... Whatever, and i find hr and she send me back outside to a very hard to find door, i ask the lady and she points across the property, i was walking around until i found a man and asked where i can get my w-2, he said "que" and i asked him in spanish "income tax" and he send me back to the lady previously..... I go back knock and tell her i was sent back here and the man got upset and said to "ask better, and ill get what i want." I mean i was just asking i didnt get mad at him or anything just frustrating when u get sent back and forth.... I after finding what i needed i left remembering why i stoped working for don cuco, every location are bitter and horrible people and sometimes not...

This is usually one of my favorite taco places but unfortunately this time around I was not happy. To start there were no mexican bottled cokes which my wife likes to get. Then once we recieved our food the tripita tacos were very small portions. My son and I both got 4 tacos but it felt like there was only enough for 3 tacos. My wife ordered 2 of the alambre tacos and two tripita tacos. Again the portions were small on the tripita and the alambre tacos were bland and didn't have bacon in them like they should. The limes were juicy but lacked flavor (not their fault). The papa don cuco was actually really good, best part of the meal. It just felt like things had changed since our last visit and I was really unhappy and...

Took it to go. Everything was really good tacos loaded with meat. I had actual stopped going previously because it was getting pricy and the amount of meat given was sad but I gave it another try today and they didn't disappoint. Tacos apastor, tacos de barbacoa and the birria con queso was awesome! Only down we ordered frijoles charos and they stacked them and shoved them into a bag. When I pulled them out 2 of the 3 Styrofoam cups had been smashed from being squashed from bring tied into the bag. But we just put them into 1 giant bowl and ate them out of there. Other than that, no complaints. I'm really happy with the service...
