Swadley's Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in El Reno

The past several times we have placed a to go order something is either missing or wrong. I have spoken with staff previously and so far the have not been able to hire someone who can fill a basic order correctly. This time after 25 minute drive back to our office we found there was no plastic ware to eat the food with so I had to eat it with my fingers, brisket was easy, but the potato salad was a mess. Did not have to eat the green beans that way because they did not include them, instead they included corn mixed with hot peppers. Also the meat seemed much cloder than everything else, so I think it could be a food handling issue, but that I will address monday with the health department so that they can perform a safety inspection. It may be time to replace some staff we new people and repeat until competent staff can be located. You may need to fire and hire a few times but you should be able to find a few people who can master basic...

We went at 12:30 on the 4 th of July.🇺🇸it wasn’t very busy, no wait in line. . Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the chicken fried steak with fries and onion straws. Hubby had the “ variety “ plate with beans and okra. Servings were huge. We couldn’t finish it and probably could have been full sharing a meal. The food was room temperature when it arrived. We both thought the food was kind of bland. Not a lot of flavor even after adding salt. I could hardly even taste any “ onion” in the onion straws. They have “ soft serve ice cream” cones that you can help yourself to after your meal. It’s not real ice cream and had a griddy texture to it. We were told it was made with water- and it tasted like it.😏. We didn’t take more than 1 taste of it and threw the cones away. We were disappointed in the food and most likely won’t go back. I have reviewed Swadley's before a couple of years ago. I thought I would try them again. Ordered sliced brisqet with beans and salad. I received my place with 5 small sandwich thin slices of meat (no smoked flavor and dry) this meat was sliced by a meat slicer and I am sure portioned and waited to be served. Not at all fresh sliced. (I did not eat any of my meal) My wife ordered chicken, came with 7 slices of chicken about 3 times thicker then my beef. (Chicken was Dry) Green Beans were very very good. Our total bill was $30 This is a poor excuse for good BBQ. If you like this place, your not an experienced eater of Real BBQ. I will never go in any Swadley's...
