Definitely avoid this place if you can. Poor quality for sure, no matter what the owner claims. Every company claims to have quality goods and services, but sadly this is just not the case with alot of them, including Papas Pizza To Go. Was on the toilet an hour after eating here. I bet they don't even eat that ish themselves, but they'll prob lie and say they do. The wings are a joke. I have never seen wings that small in my life and they were lemon pepper, but I couldn't tell. Apparently they didn't have hot flavor. They also didn't have any deep dish pizzas so I had tonget the round pizza which was like soggy cardboard. I honestly would have preferred a frozen pizza from the grocery store. Wouldve been cheaper too. Your charging more than every other pizza place in the area, the least you could do is give a quality product and make sure your staff is giving quality service which includes keeping a clean kitchen, cuz tonight this was not the case. If you say otherwise my stomach, my a** and my toilet tell a diff story. Worst $50 i spent all year. Won't be going back. I gave an extra star for service only because the girl behind the counter warned us not to spend a quarter in the gumball machine cuz she said they were prob old and stale. Said she's never seen them changed out. I understand that the gumball machine prob isn't a part of your business, but your allowing it to be there. You could at least keep tabs on it knowing that kids are going to be consuming...
Read moreWe just had lunch here & the girl behind the counter (apparently her name was Kiera?) definitely doesn’t need to be working in any sort of customer service position. She was extremely rude. When we walked in & told her we would be eating there, she rolled her eyes & audibly sighed. While paying for my order, I asked her how she was doing & she just looked at me (I guess the answer should have been obvious?). When she delivered my order to our table, I said thank you & she just dropped it in front of me & walked off. She did the same with the other orders. When my boyfriend went up to the counter to ask for a to-go box, she ignored him, & the guy in the back who had been cooking had to grab it for him. We then realized we needed a second one, so my boyfriend went back up to the counter. The guy in the back was busy, & since she couldn’t be bothered (she was on the phone this time & had already ignored him the first time) my boyfriend just stepped behind the counter briefly to grab the box himself (he quite literally took one step behind the counter). Well, this got Kiera’s attention & she quickly got off the phone to scold my boyfriend for his ghastly behavior. The food was great, & the guy who was in the back cooking it was very nice, but Kiera...
Read moreWhen it comes to Detroit-style pizza , the options are slim. When it comes to good Detroit style pizza ( outside Michigan or high priced boutique pizzerias ) the list is even shorter . Papa’s Pizza To Go belongs right up at the top of that list . I ordered online , and the ordering process was easy , and allowed almost infinite customization, so much that I was able to order my square pan pizza with triple pepperoni and triple cheese . Upon arrival I received a warm greeting and engaged in friendly banter with the awesome staff . They even took the time to make sure my pizza was how I wanted it because I’m the first person to order triple cheese ! It was perfect , btw . The crust was crisp to bite into and then chewy , like a good Detroit style pizza should be , with that awesome caramelized cheese around the outside . The pepperoni was ample and browned crisp adding dimensions of flavor . The guy at the counter ( owner ? ) was telling me they make their dough and sauce fresh daily and it shows . I’m a bit of a pizza snob , and I’ve been mulling over trying this place for quite a while … today I just took the plunge . Boy am I glad I did . The experience was seamless end to end , great pizza , great prices , great people . Highly...
