China Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Elk Grove Township

The man who works there is very very rude never going to order in my life! I placed an order and when i called him he said im not going to make your ordee because last time you asked for a refund oh yes I never did Doordash gave it to me because last time the driver came and never called me or texted left food outside and it was cold and i also order bb rbs he sent something else which i never ate it I was mad because they accepted the order wen he didnt have bbq ribs so doordash gave me some type of compensation. Either way he is not supposed treat customer like that I worked for customer service if the client is not agreed with something and want a refund i gave them a refund. But right away he had attitude towards me and said IM NOT MAKING YOUR ORDER AND YOU CANCEL IT. If you want to get treated like a dog by him go there. This guy pretends to be nice but when you like something and reported he gets mad at you and treated you bad not polite at all he told me and now you cancel order it why should i canceled the order when you accept it why to get paid! so i file a report for his restaurant and i see alot ALOT negative reviews here i see he sells old food tasting bad i should of seen those comments before OMG...

I crave to eat good and fresh Chinese food being from out of town I thought I'd give this place a chance. I ordered one of their combination plates with one side I chose an egg roll which has very dry and crispy. I Ordered orange chicken which was suppose to be crispy but instead was very soggy and chewy. I also order the shrimp fried rice which seemed to be enjoyable at the time until i seen that the shrimp was dirty still mixed in with the rice I tried to contact the establishments management staff to try and avoid this review, but no one was on duty and nothing but excuses was given for why the quality of the food was so poor. Every establishment that serves food, main duty is to supply and send out to there customers fresh food!!!!! Highly disappoint and such a waste of time and money. We were looking for a Chinese restaurant, and came past China Garden.

The restaurant is very small, and clearly designed as a carry-out place. Only three tables, and really not very welcoming as a setup. Functional and clean, just not with any kind of atmosphere.

The food is actually very good! We tried two different dishes, mine being Mongolian Shrimp. LOTS of Shrimp, and wonderfully rich (and spicy) flavor. We also added egg rolls, and though tasty, were not hot fresh. They would be better if made to order with the rest of our food - or brought out ahead of time, if this was the case. Just an idea for the owners. ;-)

Overall, excellent option for take-out, but not so much for dine in. Great option to keep in mind when we're looking to take...
