La Rosita Fresh Market — Local services in Elk Grove Township

I went into La Rosita Fresh Market looking for some lard. The 1st person I asked for lard went to ask a co-worker. The other gentleman; also behind the meat counter, asked me what I wanted. I told him Lard. He said they didn't have any of that. (really? ??) I asked him if he had any ideas of where I could get some? He said no. (BS I say. Thanks for nothing. I won't be back. Ever.) Went over to Fiesta on Elmhurst, and they had perhaps 50 gallons of fresh full flavored lard on display in front of the food counter area, I got a few, and am very pleased with it's quality. La Rosita is a small Neighborhood Mexican Grocery Store with a in house Taqueria. Their Taqueria is a hidden Gem, the Green & Red Salsas have an enough kick to go along any Taco or Torta. I had 2 Tacos of Chile Relleno which were a great portion and very filling with delicious cheese coming out with each bite. They only thing that did not make this a 5 star review for me, the Chicken taco is not grilled chicken breast but precooked shredded chicken. A personal preference in my opinion. Mi hija ordenó por teléfono. Hablo con la cajera Angelica, pidió sin cebolla todo los tacos. En vez nos dieron todos con cebolla excepto el que pedí plain. Esto ya me paso 3 veces en total. Mi otra hija es alérgica al cebolla. A esta gente no le importa. Hemos venido aquí desde hace 13 años. Que decepción que los nuevos empleados no les importa la clientela. Los tacos están más o menos a de lo que estaba anteriormente. Le dijieron que traiga los tacos de regreso pero tenia que ir a trabajar y los bota a la basura. No tendrá que ser tan difícil conseguir unos tacos.

My daughter ordered through the phone. She talked to the cashier ,Angelica, she asked for all tacos without onion since my younger daughter is allergic and we try to avoid it. Instead they give us all tacos with onion except the one I asked for in plain. This is happen 3 times already I talked to the manager that my daughter is allergic to onion. These people don’t care. We’ve been coming to this place for 13 years. The new employees don’t care about the customers. Compare to how the tacos were before they aren’t as good as before.
